Talking Metal Gets Iced |
Emperor in a Box |
Emperor formed in 1991. Their recordings have sold in excess of 600,000 units worldwide and their impact on the whole black/extreme metal scene is second to none. They are without doubt one of the most influential acts in any genre, respected the world over by fans, bands and critics alike. In late June the band will headline two major festivals: the first in France (Hellfest) and the second in Finland (Tuska Festival) as well as select shows in the USA. These limited edition boxsets will become highly collectable. Pre-order the boxsets at the full story link. - Click Here for the Full Story
Damiera Return |
Back in April, three fourths of Damiera left the band to pursue other goals. The departing members were "seeking satisfaction elsewhere," says continuing member and vocalist Dave Raymond, "they wanted to take another road for now... without having to be committed to a group setting."
The new members consist of guitarist Steve Downs and drummer Josh Sparks, formerly of the Iowa-based band Spirit of the Stairway, and Jayson Dezuzio, a long time professional producer whose resume includes work with Coheed and Cambria, My Chemical Romance, and more. Dezuzio also produced the latest Damiera album, M(US)IC, which was released in January.- Click Here for the Full Story

Guinness Book Reject DevilDriver Pit |
Thank you for sending us the details of your recent record proposal for 'Largest Circle Pit'. We are afraid to say that we are unable to accept this as a Guinness World Record.
Unfortunately, as there is no way you can physically definie (sic) where any circle/mosh pit starts and ends, we cannot accept this as a category. We receive over 60,000 enquiries a year from which only a small proportion are approved by our experienced researchers to establish new categories. - Click Here for the Full Story
iPod Coverage Week: California Roll and Reflect |
California Roll: A couple of inches longer than a standard billfold, The California Roll works much like a wallet with three pockets inside that can accommodate your iPod, cell phone and earbuds. I tried it out with my iPod video with the iClear case still on and it fit perfectly in the center pocket. I then stashed by Razr phone in the left pocket and took my earbuds and put those in the right pocket, folded it up and worked the elastic strap over and I had a nice snug carrier for my iPod and phone. You could use the pockets for id, credit cards, cash etc. It's only limited by your imagination and the size of the pocket. It's a little too big to use like a wallet (and far too bulky once you have it loaded up. Plus who would sit on an expensive iPod?) but I've found it's a great way keep my iPod and phone safe when I'm on the go. It comes in a variety of colors as well. Check them at the full story link.
Reflect: The Reflect is a hard plastic iPod case with a mirrored front and a black back. The iPod snaps in just like an iClear case and again it's a little hard to open the case once the iPod is in it but it's nothing a coin in the notch won't solve. It gives your iPod a chrome look and surprisingly you can see your screen clearly when the iPod is on. The drawback to this case is the reflective front is prone to fingerprint smudges (like the back of the naked iPod) and it doesn't come with a clip. But if you're looking for a sharp looking case that will protect your iPod from everyday abuse, the Reflect should do the trick. - Click Here for the Full Story
