Rocker or Bank Robber?
Blabbermouth reports: Floridian death metal stalwarts DEICIDE were detained today in Innsbruck, Austria for.... bank robbery.

DEICIDE drummer Steve Asheim got up early this morning to make a trip to the bank to deposit some money from merch sales when the bank staff became suspicious of his appearance and the fact that much of the money was marked with red dye. Staff immediately called the police, who swiftly arrived and took the DEICIDE drummer down to the station, suspecting that he had been involved in a recent bank robbery in the area and that he was handling stolen banknotes.

Questioned for a number of hours, Steve explained the banknotes were legitimate proceeds from touring, and that he had a leaky pen in his pocket which was responsible for the money's discoloration.[see full story for more]- Click Here for the Full Story

80s Singer Vs Plastic Surgeon
Launch reports: Pete Burns, the flamboyant lead singer '80s band Dead Or Alive, has filed a lawsuit against a London plastic surgeon for allegedly making him look "physically repulsive."

The androgynous frontman, most famous for the hit "You Spin Me Round (Like A Record)," claims Dr. Maurizio Viel performed a terrible job on his lip augmentation procedure at the London Center For Aesthetic Surgery. Burns's suit complains of swelling, blistering, discharge, and impaired ability to eat, drink, or talk. He claims the damage was so extreme that at one point it looked like his lips would actually need to be surgically removed. [see full story for more]- Click Here for the Full Story

Eddie on Van Halen Reunion
sleazeroxx.com reports: The reunion that Van Halen fans have been awaiting for twenty-two years began in December, when David Lee Roth walked into Eddie Van Halen's Hollywood home studio. There he rejoined the band for a rehearsal, singing fourteen Van Halen classics. "They totally got along on a personal level," a source close to the reunion says. "And it sounded great." At press time, Roth and the band were negotiating a deal for a major summer tour, which would be Van Halen's first Roth-fronted tour since 1984. Along with a possible Police reunion, it would likely be among the year's biggest box-office draws.

"Everything is up in the air," Eddie Van Halen tells Rolling Stone. "We don't want to say anything prematurely." He suggested that the band is waiting on Roth: "People know where we are and that we're making music. Whoever wants to come up can join us -- they're welcome." But the famously contentious group may already be having communication problems. The source replies, "Dave is ready. He's been ready."[see full story for more]- Click Here for the Full Story

Rolling Stone As Shallow As their Cover Stars?
idolator.com reports: Ben Fong-Torres, the former Rolling Stone editor who was enshrined in Almost Famous, weighs in on the I'm From Rolling Stone intern pool and their journalism-light backgrounds: These are the best and brightest out of 2,000 applicants? Of course not. I learned, from an insider on the show, that writing samples and photos weren't all that were required from applicants. They were asked such questions as: "What was the last thing that made you cry?"

Sound like "The Bachelorette"? You're catching on.

The insider, who spoke off the record, told me that MTV cast the show, as many reality shows do, "looking for interesting-looking, interesting-behaving young people."
