James Brown Gunfight
Launch reports: A gun fight has taken place in America between two friends over the height of James Brown. 

One man was shot twice in the dispute, which is understood to have taken place in a house in Atlanta on Monday.

Doherty Arrested Again
Gigwise reports: [It's Tuesday, time for a story about Pete Doherty getting arrested again� and of course getting off again�] Pete Doherty faces no further action after being arrested by police on Saturday. 

The much-troubled Babyshambles frontman and two other men were arrested for failing to stop for police in a vehicle they were travelling in.

Don't Rob Mick Jagger
Gigwise reports: Mick Jagger has forced TV execs to change the name of a sitcom he is set to star in because he didn't think it was appropriate. 

The Rolling Stones front man didn't agree with the series being called 'Let's Rob Mick Jagger' and now the show will be monikered 'Knights Of Prosperity'.

Arab Strap Release
Filter reports: Aiden Moffat and Malcolm Middleton, collectively known as Arab Strap decided to call it quits on September 8 2006, but now their parting shot Ten Years Of Tears is getting a US release, courtesy of Scottish indie Chemikal Underground. Alice Coltrane RIP
CMJ reports: Legendary jazz pianist Alice Coltrane died Friday of respiratory failure at a hospital in West Hills, California. She was 69. Born Alice McLeod, she studied classical and jazz piano early in her life, taking lessons from revolutionary Bud Powell along the way, before she met her most-famous husband, John Coltrane. Kylie Reschedules
BBC reports: Pop star Kylie Minogue has announced new dates for two concerts cancelled after she fell ill.

blabbermouth.net reports: KILLSWITCH ENGAGE was forced to postpone the London, Bristol and Paris shows of their current European tour this past weekend due to guitarist Adam Dutkiewicz sustaining a serious back injury. The band has since issued the following update:

"OK, here's the deal. Adam and Howard [Jones, vocals] were sick and wanted to do the Brixton show [in London]. Once they got to the club, both got to see the local physician. After both seeing the doc the prognosis was Howard had a chest infection. Adam, however, was doing much much worse. No way he could do the show, and he was immediately ushered to a nearby hospital. After a series of test, it was decided that Adam would need back surgery again - no more shows, no flying home first, no exceptions�. Floodgate Reunion

Proceeds from the gig will go to the New Orleans Musicians Hurricane Relief Fund, which is an organization that acts as an outreach program to New Orleans musicians affected by Hurricane Katrina. Framing Hanely Lose Member
TuneLab reports: Framing Hanely (formerly Embers Fade) have parted ways with guitarist Nathan Birdwell due to creative differences. Birdwell has been replaced by Tim Huskinson.
