Pink's Reel Music
PR reports: GLAMOUR Vice President and Publisher Bill Wackermann announced Glamour Reel Music as an extension of its successful short film series, Glamour Reel Moments. The project aimed at promoting women in male-dominated entertainment fields will now turn to the recording industry. Glamour has teamed with multi-platinum LaFace recording artist P!NK to help create opportunities for women in the music business. She selected three artists on the rise for the Glamour Reel Music contest through which readers chose an all-female group to star in a music video directed by P!NK. Nissan North America (NNA) supported the making of the video that will launch on glamour.com/reelmusic on Wednesday, January 17, 2007.

Similarly to Glamour Reel Moments, which promotes women in Hollywood, Reel Music supports emerging female artists within the music industry. Two-time Grammy winner P!NK originally selected Sandi Thom, The Ditty Bops and the Pretty Boys to be part of the contest. Readers were asked in the September 2006 issue of Glamour to log on to its website to see, hear and learn more about the three budding female artists, and ultimately choose one they most wanted to see featured in a music video directed by P!NK.
