Bouchard has already written 14 songs for the new album, 11 of which will make the final cut on the new CD, which is tentatively set to be released this summer. He describes the new material as being "more structured and well-balanced. It'll be a mix between Strength Through Vengeance and Unbroken," Bouchard says. Aiden Find Conviction |
The band begins pre-production on their eagerly anticipated release January 15, according to leading WiL Francis, 14 songs have already been written. "I've never been more excited about new songs," he declares. "I've never written songs like this, mainly because I was scared that it wasn't "punk" enough. But I woke up one day and asked myself what is punk? And the answer I came up with was that punk rock is a state of mind, not a sound on a record. Punk is about being true to yourself and doing what you love and saying f-you to anyone who tries to bring you down. [see full story for more]- Click Here for the Full Story

Secretary Bird Debut |
Mike Semple's undeniably sincere songwriting is enhanced by a singing style that's hypnotic and lackadaisically melodic like Lou Reed or Paul Westerberg. Add Semple's distinctive guitar work, born of a 70's British influence, and it is laid beautifully and softly down at the foot of your soul. Think Psychocandy meets The Days of Wine and Roses and add a bit of Wilco. Thomas Froggart (She Wants Revenge) and Eric Avery (Jane's Addiction) also play on the album. Enlisted for the live touring band are Austin-based drummer, Kirke Jan and bass player, Einar Pedersen.- Click Here for the Full Story

Britney Not Stiffed |
According to TMZ, despite rumors that the Pure Nightclub in Las Vegas was planning on stiffing Ms. Spears due to her dramatic exit from the club early in the morning of Jan 1st (she was carried out), they say Britney will get her appearance fee.
TMZ Reports: However, in a statement from PURE's publicist, by way of our friends at SpyOnVegas, the club's rep Kate Turner says, "The crowd LOVED Britney and they cheered her on everywhere she went. She had a great time and we were delighted with her appearance at the club and cannot wait to have her back. She is always welcome at PURE and we'd love to have Britney back next year for New Year's Eve." Paris Running on Empty |
Paris got a helping hand from her friendly neighborhood paparazzi, who pushed her $200K silver 2007 Bentley Continental GTC Convertible to the side of the road. After getting an offer to take refuge in some random guy's house (thanks, but no thanks), a photographer offered to go and get her some gas.
"How much is gas?" Paris asked the photog. Seriously. She gave the guy $20 and sent him on his way. When the photog returned, Paris tossed the change into the backseat. She wasn't sure where the "gas thingy" was, and sat flipping through a scrapbook of some kind while the lensman/good samaritan filled her car with a gallon of gas.
