Jon Foreman (Switchfoot) Week: Southbound Train
antiMusic reports: Jon Foreman, the frontman for Switchfoot is returning to his indie-scene roots by releasing four solo EPs over the coming months, individually titled Fall, Winter, Spring, and Summer. To celebrate the digital release of the first EP, Fall, we asked Jon to pick his five favorite tracks from the release and tell us a bit about each one. Here is Jon with today's song:

Southbound Train: Wrote this one on the train from Santa Barbara to San Diego. Trains are romantic. Planes are business cards, cars are like family, but trains feel more like a dating relationship. I live near the train tracks and I wanted this track to feel like a train.

Keith rocked the cello, as always. I love the cello. My friend Jamie (who runs to write love on her arms, a great organization worth checking out), was staying at my place while we were tracking this. I remember both of us sitting on the carpet listening to either lay this down. I remember we used a pillow and breathing for the percussion.

Zeppelin Reunion Setlist
antiMusic reports: It's been a long time since they rock-n-rolled but rock legends Led Zeppelin broke out a lot of fan favorites for their two hour and ten minute reunion show at London's O2 Arena on Monday night (December 10th). The band, singer Robert Plant, guitarist Jimmy Page, bassist John Paul Jones along with John Bonham's son Jason, got together for the first time in decades for a tribute concert for Ahmet Ertegun, the late head of Atlantic Records head that signed the group.

Here is their setlit: 'Good Times, Bad Times', 'Ramble On', 'Black Dog', 'In My Time Of Dying', 'For Your Life, 'Trampled Under Foot', 'Custard Pie', Nobody's Fault But Mine', 'No Quarter', 'Since I've Been Loving You', 'Dazed And Confused', Stairway To Heaven', 'The Song Remains The Same', 'Misty Mountain Hop', 'Kashmir'. ** 'Whole Lotta Love', Rock And Roll'.

Will they carry on with a reunion tour? Even Robert Plant doesn't seem to know. According to Gigwise, Plant told the Sunday Times that "it wouldn't be such a bad idea to play together from time to time." He was quick to explain what he said later in the same interview, however, claiming that it was "somebody else inside me was saying that. "Not the bloke from Wolverhampton," he added. "The bloke from the land of the ice and snow, the bloke with his shirt unbuttoned down to his waist and he can shut up. We're not having any more of that. It was great, but I've got to go down the highway now." - Read Billboard's review of the show

Van Halen Avoids Flood
SleazeRoxx.com reports: Rock guitarist Eddie Van Halen's Hollywood Hills home narrowly escaped serious damage on Monday, after a broken water main sent mud and debris gushing across his yard, the Los Angeles Times reported on its Web site.

Van Halen's swimming pool disappeared under the deluge, and potted plants and trees were also demolished, his girlfriend Janie Liszewski told the paper. But the house was saved after firefighters fortified it with sandbags, she said.

The couple were not at home when the destruction started shortly after midnight on Monday. They were in the Canadian city of Edmonton for a reunion concert the night before by Van Halen's eponymous band. - more on this story

Joe Strummer Treasure Trove Discovered
Contact Music reports: The widow of THE CLASH frontman JOE STRUMMER has unearthed a treasure trove of scribbled notes, cartoons, and forgotten song lyrics left by the late musician. In her first interview since the rocker died in 2002, Lucinda Mellor tells how the secret possessions will form the basis of a tribute book to the uniquely talented musician, which will be produced in conjunction with his friend, the artist Damien Hirst.

The discovery was made in a room buried in the depths of the farmhouse she shared with her husband, which she rarely if ever ventured into while he was alive. When Strummer returned home after a tour, he would throw his suitcases into the room, leaving them jumbled alongside other suitcases he brought back from his travels.

Mellor left the suitcases untouched until long after her husband died of an undiagnosed congenital heart defect. But when she finally ventured into the room to investigate the baggage, she was astonished at the contents. - more on this story
