Now that ROB ZOMBIE has completed work on his third film as a writer and director, a remake of the horror classic Halloween, the rocker-turned-filmmaker is setting his sights on the road.

Zombie told us that he'll go on tour in October and stay out for a couple of months before turning to his next project: "Me and the guys have been talking, and we're, like, you know, gonna start rehearsing soon and, you know, we'll be back on the road in October.

antiMusic reports: Pop star Lily Allen has reportedly run into some work visa issues. The singer was detained at a Los Angeles airport according to Filter, however they report that the show will go on and Allen will still be making her scheduled west coast appearances.

Allen's people have reportedly dismissed claims that the photographer assaulting star has had her work visa revoked. Which is good because it's been a while since we has seen a good paparazzi smackdown; Britney Spears recent Vegas lovefest aside.

For some strange reason she is reported to be in Las Vegas with Common and Kanye West filming a video for Common's album, Finding Forever. She'll have a good month to compare egos with West and Common as her string of dates are set to start until September 6th in San Diego. - the dates are here

Have You Caught On To Portugal. The Man Yet?
PR reports: Portugal. The Man's just-released album "Church Mouth" (July 24, Fearless) put the band onto the Billboard charts for the first time in their career - and not on just one chart, but FOUR. And the media - national, regional, local, and online - has fallen hard for Portugal. The Man and "Church Mouth" as evidenced by these reviews:

FOUR-AND-A-HALF STARS - Alternative Press

".compelling music that's actually worth the buzz it's generating." - OC Weekly

"Portugal. The Man suggests the sort of thing a young Led Zeppelin might have done in 2007..." - Arizona Republic

Obituary: Downloading Hurts Everybody
PR reports: RockMyMonkey.com recently conducted an interview with Obituary vocalist John Tardy where they discussed how downloading effects artists, how their former label Roadrunner helped pirate their album and some of the steps labels are taking to stop music from leaking.

Rock My Monkey: What do you think hurts the music industry more? Bad choices inspired by their paranoia, or actual downloading? - John Tardy: (laughs)

Rock My Monkey: And this is inspired by the promo of your album I was sent. - John Tardy: Yeah. Well, you know, it's tough. I mean, the downloading thing, it's just really brutal. To be honest with you, it hurts everybody in the industry. Last time around, one of Roadrunner's brilliant maneuvers, we gave them masters. I think like the same day they just started emailing MP3s to everybody in the company. And it was by the end of two days, three months before the album was out, it was just so available on the Internet, it was [like], why would anybody go and buy it when you could just get it so easily? This time around Candlelight did make an extensive attempt to hold back, keep it out of the wrong hands as long as they could. No MP3s were allowed at all. The promo copies that they made up were somewhat protected for the most part. You couldn't just put them in the computer and copy them. But obviously people are going to find a way around everything. So I know it's out there on the internet now, and we're just under a month before the release date. But there's not much you can do about it. I just hope that people. if they want to see their bands stick around and continue, hopefully they'll go out and purchase a record if it's something they like.- the full interview
