GNR Injury Delays Tour |
The Japanese concerts are being rescheduled. Guns N' Roses will be able to make their two scheduled performances headlining the MyCoke festivals in South Africa at the end of the month.
"I feel so bad right now," explains bassist Tommy Stinson. "I accidentally fell down a flight of stairs. I put my hand down to break my fall and heard a loud pop.' The next morning my hand looked like a balloon. I went to see my doctor and while the good news is that it's not broken, the bad is news is it's severely sprained and I may have done some ligament damage. We had our last rehearsal a few days ago and shipped the gear to Japan and then this happened. I feel horrible."[see full story for more]- Click Here for the Full Story

Sounds of the Underground 07 |
Following two straight appearances in the middle of the day, the event will be closed most nights by splatter metal champions, GWAR; ensuring that fans will remain blood and gore-free until the closing hours of the show. Three other bands will rotate in the headlining position prior to GWAR bringing the house down: a block-buster artist yet to be announced, face-shredding metal pugilists Chimaira, and experimental noisemakers Every Time I Die. The day will be completed with a devastating bill including Necro, Darkest Hour, Amon Amarth, The Acacia Strain, The Devil Wears Prada, Heavy Heavy Low Low, The Number Twelve Looks Like You, Goatwhore, This Is Hell, and 2 Cents. Expect additional special guest headliners to join the bill on select dates.

Speaking in the new issue of NME, Gallagher said that following his recent solo concert appearances he was making tentative steps towards a solo project.
He said: "I've actually got a backlog of songs that are slowly building up. The thing about a solo record is the time to do one is between Oasis world tours because you'd have a good couple of years. "In truth, I do not know where he is," said Murray Richman, lawyer for the 36-year-old rapper (whose real name is Earl Simmons). "Why would he be hiding out from a damn traffic infraction?"

Flyleaf Postpone Dates |
"I'm so sorry, everyone. We have been working very hard to get to see all of you and play in all of your towns. We have gotten so many beautiful letters and gotten to talk to so many of you these past three years of touring and as far as I can remember we have only had to postpone one other show. I guess what we have learned is that we are not robots and we can't treat ourselves like it. My voice has been acting up this whole tour. When I went to the doctor she looked at my vocal chords and immediately started to reprimand me for the damage I had done.[see full story for more]- Click Here for the Full Story
Static-X Injury |
"Some good and some not so good news to share with everyone. First the good. We had a great first week with [the new STATIC-X CD] 'Cannibal'. The album debuted at #36 on Billboard and our shows have been some of the best I can remember. There's nothing like getting back on the road, seeing our friends and getting a chance to share the new songs with you.
"The not so good news is that after our Abilene show, Nick [Oshiro, drums] broke his hand and we've been forced to cancel tonight's show in Dallas. We promise we'll come back through as soon as we can. Nick is doing OK, although he's more than a little bummed that he's going to have to take a break from the tour. We are flying in a temporary drummer and the plan is to be up to speed by Houston on Friday with Nick rejoining the tour as soon as his cast comes off."[see full story for more]- Click Here for the Full Story

Larsson Returns to Hammerfall |
Guitarist Oscar Dronjak had this to say about Larsson's return to the band: "The waiting and speculation is over. Magnus [Rosén] has been replaced. The new guy should be no stranger to any Hammerfall fan: re-enter Fredrik Larsson, original member of the band and fugutive for the past decade.
