Decrepit Birth Now Hiring |
"Well, the time has come to announce that Risha Eryavec is stepping down from his duties as our bassist. Due to location changes, we have decided to part ways. Risha is still a good friend of ours and there is absolutely no bad blood between us and him. We want to thank him for all his hard work and dedication, we wish him luck in whatever he pursues. As of now we are searching for a fulltime bassist to join DECREPIT BIRTH. We are looking for someone who is able to tour, record and practice with the band as a working and professional minded member. The band is gearing up for a European tour in January of 2007 and we will need someone who can learn 9 songs by that time and be ready to spend the month of January on tour. Penelope Jones Debut |
Although only 24 years old, Penelope's debut has been in the works for a long time. Penelope's love for hip-hop began as an adolescent as she performed gospel raps in her church. By her early teens she found herself recording her first demo with The Crew From The Lou, and later opening for the likes of 2Pac and Ice Cube, whenever they came through her town. In 2000, as Nelly was reaching superstardom, Penelope recorded "Jang-A-Lang" with the St. Lunatics and began recording for her own solo debut. [check out "No Matter What They Say" feat. Mya at the full story link... maybe she should adopt the stage name Pe.J? just a suggestion]- Click Here for the Full Story

Unfortunate Songs |
For seven years, Stephin Merritt (Magnetic Fields) has been recording songs under the band name The Gothic Archies for the audiobooks of A Series of Unfortunate Events, the popular children's series by his friend Daniel Handler (a.k.a. Lemony Snicket). The Tragic Treasury: Songs from a Series of Unfortunate Events collects these thirteen gloomy and hilarious songs, plus two bonus tracks, including a depressingly upbeat theme song, "We Are the Gothic Archies". Merritt wrote and recorded all the music, with accordion by Lemony Snicket. The Tragic Treasury will be available on Nonesuch October 10th, 2006, in conjunction with the Friday the 13th release date of Snicket's thirteenth and final book, The End, from HarperCollins Publishers. The Tragic Treasury includes a song for each one of the thirteen books in A Series of Unfortunate Events. [check out a preview at the full story link]- Click Here for the Full Story
