Best of Electronic
PR reports: Rhino Entertainment will release Get the Message: The Best of Electronic, highlighting the work of the seminal post-punk super-group on September 19, 2006.

Two of the most recognizable sounds from a pair of the most influential alternative rock bands of the '80s - the melodic melancholy of New Order's Bernard Sumner and the sharp hooks of The Smiths' Johnny Marr - joined together in 1990 for the single "Getting Away With It." A Top 20 hit in the U.K. featuring guest vocalist and co-writer Neil Tennant of Pet Shop Boys, the song marked the beginning of a decade-long collaboration between Sumner and Marr. Rhino Records brings together a compilation featuring favorites selected from all three of the band's studio albums along with alternate mixes and rarities. Get The Message: The Best Of Electronic will be available September 19 at all retail outlets and at www.rhino.com for a suggested retail price of $18.98. Da Circle II Circle Code
PR reports: Spain's Locomotive Records will release worldwide the new album from Progressive/Power Metal Masters Circle II Circle on October 10th. Burden Of Truth's captivating concept is taken from The Da Vinci Code by Dan Brown and Holy Blood Holy Grail by Michael Baigent, Richard Leight and Henry Lincoln. Both novels theorize that Jesus Christ married Mary Magdalene, and their children's descendents prospered in France.

This "holy bloodline" has fascinated Circle II Circle singer/songwriter Zak Stevens for years. "Just imagine," he says, "that through years of research tracing back through your family tree, you uncover a secret religious society that reveals to you that you are, in fact, one of the direct descendants of Jesus!"[see full story for more]- Click Here for the Full Story

Sugarcult Infomercial
Fanscape reports: Known and respected as one of the hardest working bands in the underground, they've remained untouched by trends, never content to rest in a single genre. Sugarcult is a band that has toured relentlessly for the past 5 years - building a dedicated domestic and international following. Fearless/V2 released Lights Out September 12. The new version of "Do It Alone" is a clever spoof of a late night infomercial complete with low quality chyron on grainy film in which "Sugarcult" is the cure for geekdom. With scenes from a late 80's styled, fluorescently lit single's scene interspersed with performance footage, the video tells the tale of a less than cool social outcast who, in true punk spirit, finds an unconventional way around the system to get what he wants. check it out at the full story link- Click Here for the Full Story
