Dress
Like Bon Jovi If You Dare |
BW&BK reports: MTV reports that Kenneth
Cole and JON BON JOVI have teamed up for a menswear line. "It's a line
of clothes called Jon Bon Jovi, or JBJ," said Cole. "It's cool rock and
roll jackets, but urbanized. It's about who Jon is, and it's not just about
his style onstage, but who he is offstage. We've taken a lot of archival
clothes that he's worn over the years, and we've made them modern." The
line will be available on Bon Jovi's website and in Kenneth Cole stores
beginning October 1st. All proceeds will go to homeless organization Help
USA. [no word yet on the Bon Jovi line of "Steal Horses"] -

Grave
Digger Victory |
PR reports: Spain's powerhouse Locomotive
Records is set to release two major metal statements on October 10: Yesterday
by Grave Digger and Fuel To The Fire by Victory.
Victory is the respected Hanover, Germany,
Power Metal band that in its 20-year career has elicited raves from critics
and fans alike. Now, for the first time, it adds fuel to the fire by actually
re-recording some of its greatest songs to add modern day studio techniques
in an effort to make them sound better than ever. Totally rearranged, remixed,
remastered, newly performed, newly sung, these 12 tracks represent the
zenith of Power as an artform. And, as a bonus for its fans, one brand
new track, "I Felt It Coming," brings the proceedings up to an unholy 13.

Nirvana
Floyd Rex |
PR reports: The DNA-analysis results aren't
in yet -- besides, the jury is reportedly still out on the whole "science"
thing anyway* -- but we have reason to believe that Marc Bolan, Syd Barrett
and Kurt Cobain could have each had illegitimate sons who later went on
to form a band together. The most glaring evidence being Mother Nature's
Sons, the Howler Records debut album by Rhode Island trio Monstrous. Using
advanced sonic technology referred to as a Compact Disc (CD) player to
determine these genetic links, a crack team of researchers has determined
that Monstrous' songs could in fact have been created by the offspring
of such legendary talents. Monstrous will release its first studio album,
Mother Nature's Slaves, on September 19th, 2006.- Click

PR reports: NOT A PHOTOGRAPH Available on
DVD November 21, 2006 Through MVD Visual. NOT A PHOTOGRAPH documents the
resurrection of the seminal post-punk band Mission of Burma, beginning
in 2002 and continuing to the present. For a band deemed 'too ahead-of-their-time'
during their initial existence, NOT A PHOTOGRAPH follows Mission of Burma's
struggle to breathe new life into a tale that's already been recorded in
rock's history books, and has placed them under the lights of acclaim,
influence and legendary status. [see full story for more]-

Andersson ), have added a second New York City performance to their schedule.
The shows, scheduled for 7:00pm and 11:00pm November 1st 2006, mark the

special scenario considering the rarity of the band's live performances

Manowar
Delayed |
PR reports: The release of the upcoming MANOWAR
album has been postponed and as a result, so has the accompanying European
Demons, Dragons and Warriors Tour.
However, fans should not be alarmed, as
MANOWAR has a good reason for this postponement. "This is actually being
done for the betterment of our fans," says bassist and MANOWAR founder
Joey DeMaio."After having to delay the tour the first time due to Karl's
accident the band returned to the studio to continue work on the album.
We wanted to do something special for the fans and so we decided the only
real way to thank them for their faith would be to give them more Manowar
metal."[see full story for more]- Click

Capitol
of Punk |
punkbands reports: A tour community known
as Yellow Arrow has created a walking tour to the "Capitol of Punk," Washington
DC, home of Dischord Records and some of America's finest and earliest
punk and hardcore bands, and its historical contributions to punk rock.
Here's how it works: certain YA-designated
locations sport a yellow arrow with a code on it, and after text messaging
a specific site's code, you recieve on your phone directions, information,
and even videos that correlate with the location you're interested in.
The DC Yellow Arrow spot tour has ten separate landmark areas that YA community
members have picked out. On Yellow Arrow's site, you can look at podcasts
and "mini-documentaries" regarding each landmark. [see full story for more]-
