KNAC reports: Rob Zombie played an exclusive show on September 5th at Toad's Place in New Haven, CT not included on his current tour schedule with Godsmack. Reportedly the set list was different from Zombie's normal routine, featuring a Billy Idol medley and cover versions of Metallica's 'Enter Sandman' and Eurythmics' 'Sweet Dreams'. Tripping Texas Spree
PR reports: Former Tripping Daisy Guitarist Tours With Polyphonic Spree; Releases Solo Album Pleasesuite on Spree Leader Tim DeLaughter's Label, Good Recordings. After Tripping Daisy's demise, leader Tim DeLaughter went on to form The Polyphonic Spree. Karnats and DeLaughter have continued to work together though, with Karnats playing on the Spree's recent album Together We're Heavy, and signing to DeLaughter's Dallas-based label imprint Good Recordings to release his solo debut Pleasesuite. Digital Hazel
PR reports: To whet their fans' appetites for new Sister Hazel music, the Gainesville, FL fivesome will be releasing a digital-only EP on September 12th. Entitled "Sister Hazel: Just The Tip," the EP will feature "Mandolin Moon," the band's first single from their forthcoming album "Absolutely," as well as another track from "Absolutely" called "Where Do You Go." The EP is being released via Croakin' Poets/Adrenaline Music Group Records with distribution by ADA and will be available at all regular digital distribution portals. "Just The Tip" precedes the band's new full-length, "Absolutely," which hits stores on October 10th. Korny Cloths
blabbermouth.net reports: According to a posting on the KORN fan site Korn.Simpol.net, KORN bassist Reginald "Fieldy" Arvizu will follow in the footsteps of guitarist James "Munky" Shaffer by launching his own clothing line.

Rare Eurythmic Release
Noble reports: Today Eurythmics' Dave Stewart announced the U.S. and U.K. release dates of Platinum Weird's previously unavailable classic 1974 album "Make Believe". 

Platinum Weird is the name of Stewart's new no-frills guitar driven rock'n'roll band - his most adventurous band since Eurythmics. The man who brought us "Sweet Dreams (Are Made Of This) has done it again with a rare collection of songs that are heartfelt, classic and simply unforgettable. Monkeys With Heart
MTV reports: Arctic Monkeys have already made plans for their Mercury Prize winnings (approximately $37,000): The band will donate the money to "a worthy charity which we would prefer to keep private," according to a post on its Web site. Silly Antilove Song
pr-inside.com reports: SIR PAUL McCARTNEY reportedly wrote a song attacking his estranged wife HEATHER MILLS for her vanity and greed a full year before their split in May (06).

The former BEATLE hits out at Mills in RIDING TO VANITY FAIR, which features on his album CHAOS AND CREATION IN THE BACKYARD, according to friends.

Machine Men Recording
Century Media reports: The young hopefuls of Finnish metal, MACHINE MEN, have entered the studio to record the follow up to their Century Media Records debut "Elegies" that blew the mind of every melodic metal fan in 2005! The single "Falling" from the album "Elegies" went straight to the Top Five in Finland and the band successfully toured with Sonata Arctica in Europe (not to mention high profile shows at the big European summer festivals like Wacken, Graspop and Earthshaker).
