Guns N' Roses US Tour
antiMusic reports: Guns N' Roses just completed their 32 date European tour and the band plans to tour the U.S. in September. Axl said in a statement released by GNR management, "We have had an amazing tour and it has been fantastic for the band and I to experience this. I approached this last show with equal parts determination, obligation, responsibility and insanity. It was an amazing night. I want to thank everyone in Europe and the U.K. for inspiring us and for giving us the opportunity to play for them. We are now looking forward to the U.S. in September." City Vs Slayer
Blabbermouth reports: The city of Fullerton, California has demanded that the SLAYER artwork be removed immediately from the 17 SLAYER bus benches scattered throughout the city. The bus benches, which "went up" over this past weekend, are promoting SLAYER's new album, "Christ Illusion". This past Monday (July 31), the city officials called the company that the band's record label (American) hired to put the ads in place, demanding that they remove the SLAYER ad/artwork, reportedly because they did not like the name of the band, which they feel refers to a murderer. Korn Beating Death
Blabbermouth reports: WSBTV.com reports that the man who was beaten in Atlanta during a concert by KORN on Sunday (July 30) has died - and now his family wants answers, and police want your help finding those responsible. It happened at the Hi-Fi Buys Amphitheater during a concert by the group KORN. Axl Sick
Blabbermouth reports: Former SKID ROW frontman Sebastian Bach sang lead vocals for the last two songs ("Night Train" and "Paradise City") of GUNS N' ROSES' set at the Wembley Arena in London, England on Sunday (July 30) after singer Axl Rose was taken ill and was unable to finish the show. The band performed an abbreviated set which reportedly featured no new songs, a departure from the rest of the tour where several "Chinese Democracy" numbers were regularly aired at every performance.[see full story for more]- Click Here for the Full Story

Clapton Cancels Red Square
antiMusic reports: [We received the following statement from Eric Clapton's tour publicist] Unfortunately the Eric Clapton performance scheduled to take place on August 3rd in Red Square, Moscow has been cancelled. Eric Clapton was delighted at the prospect of playing in Red Square before 20,000 of his Russian fans. The Russian promoter had been issued a permit for Eric Clapton to perform in Red Square signed by all appropriate Russian City and State authorities. However, earlier today, Russian officials withdrew the permit. Eric Clapton is extremely sorry to disappoint his numerous Russian fans but the circumstances of the cancellation are completely beyond his control. Mars Volta Lose Member
punkbands reports: Drummer Jon Theodore has left The Mars Volta. The band cast that performed Amputechture will be modified for live dates that begin imminently, with drummer Jon Theodore replaced by Blake Fleming, formerly of Laddio Bolocko and Dazzling Killmen and actually the drummer who played on the very first Mars Volta demos.

Underoath Unwarped
PR reports: Underoath have canceled their upcoming appearances on the Vans Warped Tour due to unforeseen circumstances. "We're deeply frustrated and sorry for any inconvenience this has caused. We felt it necessary to take some immediate time to focus on our friendship, as that's more important than risking it for the sake of touring at this time," the band stated.

Pink Floyd Reunion?
Gigwise reports: Pink Floyd are said to be planning a reunion gig to honour the late great Syd Barrett who died recently.

The band played together for the first time in 25 years at last year's Live 8 in London and now talk is of a special tribute gig for their former band member.

MTV reports: Shots were fired in an Atlanta club Monday morning (July 31) at a party hosted by rapper/producer Jermaine Dupri. A gunman opened fire inside the crowded Atlanta Peach Ballroom after trying to steal another man's gold chain, according to DeKalb County Police Department spokesperson Herschel Grangent. KNAC reports: Alice Cooper is opening a center where kids can learn to play guitar, shoot hoops and find Jesus? Apparently so.

The 58-year-old father of shock-rock is teaming up with Grand Canyon University in Phoenix to establish a $3 million youth haven featuring a "school of rock," a concert hall and sporting attractions�. his 20,000-square-foot recreational hall, to be known as The Rock, on the urban campus of Grand Canyon University. Korn Response To Fan's Murder
MTV reports: Korn offered their condolences Wednesday (August 2) to the family of Andy Richardson, who was beaten during a stop on their Family Values Tour on Sunday night and died on Tuesday from the injuries.

� According to Korn's statement, the incident occurred during the Deftones set, "before tour headliners Korn took the stage.
