antiMusic reports: If you've been following
the Madonna adoption controversy, the material girl took to the Oprah Winfrey
Show to answer some of the charged leveled against her like she "bought"
the baby David Banda against the wishes of the baby's father.
"There are no adoption laws in Malawi.
And I was warned by my social worker that . . . they were more or less
going to have to make them up as we went along," Madonna told the talk
show host.
"�I assure you it doesn't matter who you
are or how much money you have, nothing goes fast in Africa."[see full

PR reports: Brian Setzer has delivered a kick-ass,
straight-up, guitar, bass and drums rock record featuring unbelievable
playing and solid songwriting. Fans of his prior work will be blown away
by the versatility he demonstrates on this, his 13th album of original
material. All 13 tracks have a unique feel, from the southern-influenced
"Drugs & Alcohol (Bullet Holes)" to the classic-rock / new-wave sounding
"Rocket Cathedrals" and the almost-metal "Back Streets of Tokyo." A highlight
is the guest appearance by Stray Cats drummer Slim Jim Phantom on "Really
Rockabilly." In support of "13," Brian will embark on a 5-week U.S. tour
in November/December, and continue with a 12-week North American run in
2007.

PR reports: Having recently completed a 7
show run on the Joan Jett & The Blackhearts and Eagles of Death Metal
tour, Valient Thorr continue on to The Fest V this weekend where they will
play a daytime Volcom/Vestal/Skate Park of Tampa Showcase w/High Voltage
(kick ass AC/DC cover band), ASG, Thunderlip, The Hold, Blacksnake, Frozen
Cobra on Saturday October 28th. Following the Fest V, Valient Thorr will
headline a series of dates taking them out West to meet up with Nebula
and Artimus Pyledriver for a short West Coast tour, confirmed dates are
below with more being added soon.

PR reports: PA's finest, A Life Once Lost,
will be hitting the road with the legendary Napalm Death, along with new
school shredders Dead To Fall and Animosity. Prepare for nationwide destruction
as the tour will rampage its way through the States (and one stop in Mexico)
through late November and December. Also, ALOL will be re-issuing their
landmark, A Great Artist, through Ferret. Once available on Deathwish,
Inc, the record has been out of print for two years now. It will be available
nationwide on Oct 31st.

Vh1 Press Release reports: For the fifth time,
VH1 will honor winners in categories that captured the year in music, news,
politics, arts and gossip with "VH1 Big In �06 Awards." Hosted by actor
and comedian D.L. Hughley, the annual year-end celebration will premiere
on Sunday, December 3 at 8PM. Performers, presenters and special guests
will be announced as they are confirmed.
VH1 is again letting America choose who
this year's winners will be. Viewers can vote for each category online
at http://big.vh1.com beginning October 25 at 4PM ET through December 1
as well as determine the "write-in" nominees for the "Big Reality Star"
of 2006, which is sponsored by Burger King. Viewers will also be able to
cast their vote using their mobile phones by texting keyword "BIG" to the
number 22422. Voters will receive the first category ballot and can opt
to receive a new ballot each day until all categories are voted on. The
"VH1 Big in �06" mobile voting is sponsored by Alltel.-
