The rocker was chatting with reporters about his new CD Bat Out Of Hell III (drops October 31) when a caller inquired about the meaning behind lyrics to one of his songs. "I will never argue with your interpretation," the singer reponded at which point Kembrew McLeod of Little Village Magazine shot back: "It's telling me I need to run out in the street and take off my clothes and roll around in my own feces... Have you ever tasted your own feces? Do you know what it is like to hold your own feces?" Shocked and confused, the star retorted "I'm not going to roll around on the ground with you" before abruptly dumping the call.
As it turns out, McLeod is an Associate Professor of Communications at The University of Iowa - and a longtime prankster.[see full story for more including audio on the interview]
