"Tairrie asked me to post a blog here with an update on her operation yesterday since so many of you have been writing in with positive messages and concerns. While we thought this Friday the 13th was going to be the third and final surgery, the doctor felt that she was not ready for the graft as planned so instead she took Tairrie into surgery and pulled together a good portion of the skin on her arm and sewed what she could which reduced the size of the open wound quite a bit. She explained to us that she would like to try and save as much of the skin on B's arm as possible and wanted the grafted area to be as small as it can be. While this is great news, it also extends the process and it is now even more painful than it was before. Tairrie is set for her 4th and final surgery (hopefully) this Wednesday, October 18th.[see full story for more]
