All Connected to Weird Al |
antiMusic reports: A couple of weeks ago we
put out a call for you to submit questions for 'Weird Al' Yankovic and
within hours our inbox was full. We sifted through all of them and picked
out of our favorite and sent them off to Al. Now with Al being the type
of artist that absolutely loves his fans, he hurried back with the answers
and you can check those out today as you listen to his great new album
"Straight Outta Lynwood". We're including one question and answer here
and you can click the full story link to read them all!
Asked by Germish: Weird Al.... What
is the meaning of life? and why do I get the feeling it has something to
do with Duran Duran?
Everything is connected. You, me, Duran
Duran, that pile of clothes in the corner, the hair in the shower drain...
everything. You will come much closer to understanding the true meaning
of life once you have assimilated this truth - that absolutely everything
in the universe everything is connected. Except for Lindsay Lohan.
I mean, what's the deal with her? - Click

New
Beatles CD |
PR reports: Apple Corps Ltd/Capitol Records
proudly announces the release of LOVE, the new CD from The Beatles, due
November 2006. After being asked by the remaining Beatles, Ringo and Paul
along with Yoko Ono Lennon and Olivia Harrison, to make experimental mixes
from the original master tapes for a collaboration with Cirque du Soleil,
Sir George Martin, The Beatles legendary producer, and his son Giles Martin
have been working with the entire archive of Beatles recordings to create
LOVE. The result is an unprecedented approach to the music. Using the master
tapes at EMI's Abbey Road Studios, Sir George and Giles have created a
unique soundscape. The release of this album, which is also featured in
the Cirque Du Soleil/Beatles collaborative production of the same name
at the Mirage in Las Vegas, has been much anticipated.
"This music was designed for the LOVE show
in Las Vegas but in doing so we've created a new Beatles album" said Sir
George. "The Beatles always looked for other ways of expressing themselves
and this is another step forward for them."- Click

Avril
Sorry |
hecklerspray reports: Avril Lavigne is famously
as dumb as a box of hair, and it's heartwarming to see that - just because
she's temporarily stopped inflicting her dreadful music on everyone - her
time away from the limelight hasn't smartened her up any.
Avril Lavigne, you see, has been forced
to apologise for spitting at two different photographers over the course
of a single week in case whatever fans she has left decide that spitting
on the paparazzi is a bit disgusting. Ironically, though, the spat-at paparazzi
were only following Avril Lavigne around so much in the hope that she'd
lead them to some people who are, you know, actually famous. Probably.[see

Freebird
Fell |
pr-inside reports: Country star BILLY RAY
CYRUS has penned an emotional tribute to the three members of LYNYRD SKYNYRD
who died in a 1977 plane crash, after a phone conversation discussing the
tragedy with drummer ARTIMUS PYLE. Cyrus was chatting to Pyle about the
accident, which cost the lives of singer RONNIE VAN ZANT, guitarist STEVE
GAINES, his backing singer sister CASSIE GAINES and road manager DEAN KILPATRICK.
Pyle told Cyrus how he clambered out of the wreckage in Louisiana swampland
and staggered to find help with several broken ribs, only to be shot in
the shoulder by a farmer who was frightened of the long-haired and bearded
rocker covered in blood. And Cyrus was so moved he immediately wrote THE
FREEBIRD FELL - named after Lynyrd Skynyrd's epic track FREEBIRD - for
his new album WANNA BE YOUR JOE.[see full story for more]-
