Stoned |
Rockdirt reports: The New York Post reports
that when when Rolling Stone's Mark Binelli tracked down Babyshambles singer
Pete Doherty in a ramshackle drug den in Hackney, England, Kate Moss' on-off
lover kicked off the Q&A by snort ing some heroin. "Over the next three
hours, Doherty will also smoke crack, shoot heroin and take an 'ecstasy'
pill," Binelli revealed. "He does all of this casually, and openly, except
for the shooting up, which he performs near the kitchenette, with his back
to us. He offers me heroin and ecstasy but not crack.[.. D.A.R.E. to keep

Blabbermouth reports: According to the official
Hellfest web site, DEICIDE have been dropped from this year's French festival
bill due to circumstances very much out of their control. It seems that
the events organizers got the jitters and bowed to local government pressure
to have Glen Benton's satanic death metal outfit removed from the ironically
named Hellfest after graves were desecrated in Nantes, France.[see full

released, critically acclaimed video game Getting Up: Content Under Pressure
has a killer soundtrack featuring top artists. It even has an iPod interface

throughout the game, Marc Ecko collaborated with Sean Diddy' Combs and
RJD2 to create a musical score that fits perfectly with the graffiti lifestyle
and breathes and flows with the game's story. While all these tunes are
available in the game, those who can get their hands on the Limited Edition
version of the game get a soundtrack sampler CD, a DVD with a graffiti
documentary and making-of-the-game segments, a silver graf marker, art

Homeless
Jesus |
Big Machine Media reports: Think Dante's Inferno
meets an ethereal rock band when you see or think of Sony/Red/Selectric
Rock band Homeless J. The theatrical and infectious rock tunes can be heard
from their long awaited debut album Three Seconds to Gaze, which releases
on May 6, 2006. The album consists of ten original songs that weave not
only the band's tale of survival but also their critical look at life,
religion, sex and society. An early favorite is the single "The Flash"
which paints their picture of searching for real Inspiration in the world
of suffering. The band has drawn its influences from such revered rock
acts as Jane's addiction, U2, Radiohead, The doors and Jeff Buckley. They
without a doubt deliver a commanding brand of energy combining theatrical
performance and lyrical insight into a subtle art-rock package that is
both accessible and intriguing.[see full story for more]-

Fans
Vs Aiken |
Faded Youth reports: So, as everyone knows,
fallen American Idol Clay Aiken has been embroiled in a gay sex scandal
involving some alleged online cruising for sex while on tour in Boston.
After the news got out, Claymates everywhere were devastated. Nine former
fans, listing themselves as aggrieved consumers, filed a FTC complaint
against recording companies RCA and SONY/BMG for false advertising and
misrepresentation in the marketing and promotion of Aiken. Weeks later,
when A.I. guru Simon Cowell was asked about the scandal on Larry King Live,
the British judge with the sharp tongue dismissed the claims calling them
"crazy." Well now, those former Clay Aiken fans have issued a response
to Simon's comments on the CNN program. Check it out: We are grateful that
the merits of our complaint will be heard by the FTC instead of a pretend
judge from a televised talent show. We have been dismayed to see our complaint
characterized in the media as homophobic. That is not our intention and
while central to our complaint it is regrettable that Mr. Aiken's sexuality
has come under scrutiny. Our complaint is not about defaming Mr. Aiken
or his sexual preferences. It is directed toward the deceptive practices
of the record companies. [see full story for more]- Click

Angels |
Fanscape reports: Tom DeLonge (guitar/vocals,
formerly of blink-182 and Box Car Racer), David Kennedy (Guitar, Box Car
Racer), Atom Willard (drums, formerly of The Offspring) and Ryan Sinn (bass,
formerly of The Distillers) have teamed up to create a brand-new band,
Angels And Airwaves, the overriding theme of which certainly stays true
to the band's name. "The overall message on every AVA song," Tom recently
told Kerrang! Magazine, "is that tomorrow could be the best day of your
life." The debut release from Angels And Airwaves, We Don't Need to Whisper
(Suretone/Geffen), is slated for a May 23, 2006 release. Powered by muscular
beats, lean guitars and Tom's own take on life, the songs range from apocalyptic
to anthemic. Of We Don't Need to Whisper's first single, The Adventure,
Tom recently said, "It's got big programmed beats, a big crescendo and
the guitar riffing people expect of me but it sounds like it comes from
the future." [see full story to hear The Adventure]- Click
