Dir en grey Sell Out

. (Chipster) Selling out two of the nation's most-renown clubs in less than 36 hours without so much as a CD, radio play or even advertising support, Dir en grey has accomplished more in two months than most bands do in a lifetime. Recently signing their first U.S. deal with Warcon Enterprises in January, the label announced earlier this week that the band has sold 750 tickets for the March 21st show at the Avalon in New York City and 2,011 for the March 23rd show at LA's Wiltern Theatre, both of which are the band's first U.S. performances.

Entitled Withering to Death., Dir en grey's CD will be released in the States May 16th yet is already one of the most-anticipated distributed releases in WARCON history, with requests pouring in through the band and the label's web sites. Bob Chiappardi, president of WARCON, says the buzz surrounding the shows and the CD release are like nothing he has ever seen.
