year traveling with John Kerry and really being involved in the campaign.
If Kerry would have won -- I was pitching all these different initiatives
to his administration, y'know? [what like the EMO bill of rights? God help
us all, as if the lame politicians we have to choose from are band enough!

Mew |
PR reports: Sigur Ros have shown us that the
Icelanders have the market in sweet, high pitched, yearing singing cornered;
and we know from the Hives that bands from Sweden rock; and Norway has
always led the metal world. But what about fellow Scandinavians the Danes?
They boast their own unique hybrid with
Mew, a Danish band who blend epic rock with heavy guitars and ethereal
vocals. Highly-acclaimed by their peers, and special guests of Bloc Party
for their upcoming shows, Mew's new album is set for release in the US
on July 25. [see full story for dates]- Click

Sydera
Update |
PR reports: A lot is going on in the world
of Sydera! In addition to embarking on a 2 week tour (with fellow L.A.
rockers Madison Paige), including some high profile festival dates in the
midwest, Sydera are pleased to announce the launch of a brand new website
www.sydera.com As Guitarist/Vocalist Damon Valley puts it: "We wanted the
website to tie in with our upcoming CD. It looks absolutely stunning and
hopefully our fans will dig it, too." With the redesigned site the band
has also revealed the cover art to their CD.
Bassist Will Arkosy states: "We were looking
for something that represented our music visually, something a little dark
and violent, but also beautiful and stylish. I think we nailed it!" The
CD is set for a September release through Without The World Records. -
