666:
Mark of the Aiken |
antiMusic reports: Some Claybots were incensed
that we dare link Clay Aiken with the Biblical Mark of the Beast yesterday.
We have bad news for them; we didn't make this up as his birth name Clayton
Holmes Grissom really does translate to 666 using Gematria (the Greek method
of assigning numerical values to words). If you take Clay's first and middle
initial and last name of birth it totals 666. Good thing that those researches
we reported on yesterday contend that the mark of the beast is really 616.
An interested aside; strange as it may sound Ryan Seacrest's name equals
the divine number 888. So that should tell you how much stock to put in
this!
C=18 H=48 G=42 R=108 I=54 S=114 S=114 O=90
M=78 Total=666

the situation -- arrived at the Council of Fashion Designers of America
Awards in New York forgoing couture and sporting a Guns N' Roses t-shirt

Hell
of a Lawsuit |
antiMusic reports: Meat Loaf is mad as hell
and he ain't gonna take it any more! Actually Meat is upset at his former
creative partner Jim Steinman (the man that penned most of the singer's
hit songs.) Loaf, real name Michael Aday, is battling Steinman and his
former manager David Sonenberg over trademark rights to the term "Bat Out
of Hell" and says his former partners are interfering with his career.
The term was used as the title of Meat
Loaf's 1977 multi-platinum album that featured songs that Steinman wrote.
Turns out that 11 years ago Steinman trademarked the term and Meat is suing
for more $50 million saying the term should legally be associated with
him not Steinman and further accuses Steinman and Sonenberg of blackmail
in the federal lawsuit filed on May 26th in Los Angeles.
Aday is currently recording the second
follow-up album to "Bat Out of Hell" and claims that his former partners
are interfering with distribution contracts by refusing to release the
trademark rights to the name. You can read more details about this case
at the full story link. - Click
