Drug Bust |
antiMusic reports: Rap duo Youngbloodz along
with their 12-person posse were busted for drug and firearm possession
on their way to show Thursday. The homies were cruizin' in a tour bus with
expired tags on I-85 in Georgia when 5.0 pulled them over. Coweta County
Sheriff's Deputy Clinton Reynolds discovered the wonderful aroma of marijuana
when they opened the tour bus door. Deputies searched the bus and found
"two firearms and about a half pound of marijuana divided into 11 plastic
bags," according to AP and hauled the 14 off to jail.
Jeffrey Ray Grigsby (J-Bo) and Sean Paul
Joseph along with their 12 friends where all charged with possession of
marijuana with intent to distribute and possession of firearms. When it
comes to the charges, don't expect the 14 to Shakem' Off, but they did
post bail on Friday. For more on this story see the full story link.

Daughtry's 'Live' Plans |
Rockdirt reports: Though rumors of Chris Daughtry
taking Fuel's vacant frontman slot have been circulating since he was voted
off 'American Idol', and after its band members offered him the job, Daughtry
tells the York Daily Record it's unlikely he'll make the move. What he
does want to do is work with Live, after singing with Ed Kowalczyk during
the 'Idol' finale. "I think it's a very good chance," he said. "We're already
talking about collaborating in the near future, even on songwriting. We
stay in touch." [see full story for more]- Click

Borgir Illness |
antiMusic reports: Dimmu Borgir made the following
announcement on their website last week: Dimmu Borgir are very sorry, on
such a short notice, to announce that they are forced to pull out of Gods
of Metal Festival in Italy due to serious health reasons.
"We apologize to everyone it may concern,
we were very much looking forward to play this great festival, but due
to a serious situation regarding one of our members' health condition we
have no other choice as it is beyond our control. We owe it to our business
partners, fans and friends and perhaps mostly ourselves, to do a great
gig, but this will not be possible under the given circumstances, unfortunately.
Health will always have first priority."- Click

Bach
N Roses |
antiMusic reports: Guns N' Roses will have
a very special guest along for their European tour. We'll give you the
info straight from the horses mouth. Sebastian Bach posted the following
update on his website: "When I look back on my life, I have to say that
one of my true friends is Mr. W. Axl Rose. As everyone now knows, when
Guns 'N Roses made their triumphant return to New York City a few weeks
ago, Axl was cool enough to invite me onstage all 4 nights to sing with
him the Guns 'N Roses song of my choice, which happens to be 'My Michelle'.
During the NYC shows Axl asked me if I wanted to fly with him to Europe
to duet with him in England at Donington & Hammersmith. Of course I
said YES & then I mentioned to him the recording of the new CD 'Angel
Down' & how much it would mean for our band to open some Guns'N Roses
shows. Axl's response was to offer the band the whole European tour.
To say that my mind is blown, or that I
am thankful for this opportunity, is so superfluous. I really cannot express
how much this means to me. Axl Rose is the most honest, genuine, straight-up,
& talented person I have ever met in this business, & for him to
give my band the chance to rock in front of all his fans is something I
will never forget.[see full story for more]- Click
