Drummer Dehumanized
SMN reports: New York death metallers DEHUMANIZED have posted the following update:

Late last year drummer and co-founder of DEHUMANIZED, George Torres, stated that he will soon be forced to leave the band due to personal issues. He has a family and life to think about and those issues come before anything else. Since that time he has done his absolute best to help us out with playing shows until a suitable replacement is found. Unfortunately, that replacement has yet to be found, and the time has finally come for George to take his leave, whether we are ready or not. He will perform at our next 2 upcoming shows, but after that he will no longer be a member of DEHUMANIZED.[want the gig? see full story for info on that]- Click Here for the Full Story

Gwar's Satan School?
Gauntlet reports: Gwar, whose first ever commercial single at radio, a cover of original shock-rocker Alice Cooper's "School's Out", is currently going for adds, has apparently gotten some radio programmer's collective panties in a bunch. Reactions from detractors such as "GWAR is absolutely too satanic and unpure for our wholesome radio station", "This station will go talk radio before I play Gwar covering Alice Cooper!" and "If I play this record, everyone will surely be listening to satellite radio in no time!" have been mixed in with champions of the band, like KMRJ's MD Dwight Arnold, who comments "Leave it to Gwar to cover the only artist who's more gruesome than themselves! So fun to play Gwar for the first time, and it dosent scare all our KMRJ listeners". His sentiments are echoed by WWCT's PD Gabe Reynolds, who has this to offer: "Gwar's "School's Out" is kinda like a kick in the nuts..wait that's a bad thing....more like a punch in the face...that's still bad...hell, it's Gwar so turn it up and let your ears bleed.[see full story for more]- Click Here for the Full Story

After The Crash: Bob Dylan 1966 - 1978
PR reports: MVD and Chrome Dreams are pleased to announce the home viewing release of After The Crash: Bob Dylan 1966 - 1978 for U.S. distribution on DVD August 29, 2006. Lucca not Mouse'n Around
PR reports: Los Angeles-based singer-songwriter Tony Lucca will release his new album, Canyon Songs, on Rock Ridge Music on August 8th. As a musical preface to that, a digital-only EP, Through The Cracks, was released on June 6th and is available through all standard digital distribution portals.

Lucca, who some may remember from his stint in the Mickey Mouse Club in the 90s, has not only managed to stand out as an original artist in defiance of genre classification, he's done it diligently, writing and performing for ten years, honing his craft and cultivating an extremely enthusiastic following every step of the way, all on his own. With only the internet and constant touring, Lucca sold a total of 10,000 records in just a few short years. After garnering the 2001 LA Music Award for best male singer/songwriter and based on his songs and live performances, Lucca created quite a buzz with industry insiders and has performed with recording mega stars like *NSync and Marc Anthony. Lucca has toured and shared the stage with a diverse array of artists such as Macy Gray, Johnny Lang, and the late great Chris Whitley. - Click Here for the Full Story
