. (Press Release) Emo rock band, Furthest From the Star will be releasing their debut album This Waking Moment on Feb. 14. The Austin, TX based band is less than a year old, but already making significant waves with previews of their record, produced by Dwight A. Baker (Firekills, Retrograde, Honestly), mixed by Daniel Mendez (Trapt, Dashboard Confessional, Train), and mastered by Troy Glassner (Anberlin, underOATH, Dead Poetic). Major and indie labels alike have taken notice of the new band as they tour through Texas and the surrounding region. When asked about this early attention they're receiving, guitarist Jason Roberts replied, "To me, the most important thing is that we all love the music we play, and write. We all work really hard to make this band happen, and to push it forward. Because of this, every step we take forward means so much to each of us. This is just the beginning." After picking up booking from The Mustang Agency and starting to get attention from radio and press, the boys of Furthest From the Star are well poised for success.
