KISS TV Hit

Blabbermouth reports: The premiere episode of KISS bassist/vocalist Gene Simmons' new reality show for the A&E network, called "Gene Simmons Family Jewels", was the most-watched series premiere of any A&E show since the launch of "Dog the Bounty Hunter" in August of 2004. There have been 12 new prime-time series since that date.

According to a posting on Gene's web site, "Our first two episodes averaged 1.9 million total viewers (up 106% vs. A&E's Monday 10-11pm time period average), 1.3 million 18-49 (up 160%) and 1.3 million 25-54 (up 149%).[see full story for more]- Click Here for the Full Story

Razorlight Soph

PR reports: Razorlight releases "Razorlight" their sophomore album next week (August 22nd.) The Brit sensation worked with Roxy Music producer Chris Thomas, famed for legendary Beatles, Sex Pistols, Pink Floyd.

Johnny Duncan RIP

AP reports: Country music singer Johnny Duncan, known for songs like "She Can Put Her Shoes Under My Bed Anytime" and "It Couldn't Have Been Any Better," has died. He was 67. 

Duncan, who had a string of country hits in the 1970s, died Monday of a heart attack at a Fort Worth hospital, said Jim Harrell, owner and funeral director of Harrell Funeral Home in Dublin, which is handling arrangements.[see full story for more]- Click Here for the Full Story

Mortiis US Tour

PR reports: Industrial metal legend, MORTIIS, has announced a supporting slot for fall US tour dates with fellow envelope pushing industrially inclined act, the GENITORTURES. This marks MORTIIS' return to the US and is sure to be an all-out visual and aural assault. The classic MORTIIS albums, "Fodt Til A Herske," "Crypt of a Wizard," and "The Stargate" have recently been reissued and are available now on the US and UK Earache web stores.

Lost Crowes Details

PR reports: Rhino Entertainment will release The Black Crowes' never-released The Lost Crowes 2 CD set plus the Who Killed That Bird Out On Your Window Sill home video DVD on August 29, 2006.

Twice The Black Crowes have recorded albums that were never officially released: Tall in 1993 and Band in 1997. While a few songs from these lost albums were rerecorded and released on studio albums, many have emerged only through the band's legendary live shows. The Black Crowes recently went into the vault, collecting the best moments from those abandoned sessions for a special treat for their longtime fans. Titled The Lost Crowes, it is a two-disc set of unreleased music that has been remixed for its public debut on Rhino. The compilation will be available August 29. The same day, the band's 1992 home video, Who Killed That Bird Out On Your Window Sill, will make its DVD debut on Rhino Home Video. [you can check out an eCard at the full story link]

Massive Attack Dates

PR reports: The long wait is over as Massive Attack are heading back to North America for their upcoming 2006 U.S. tour - the band's first U.S. tour in eight years. Currently Massive Attack are in the midst of a summer World Tour, and will bring their spellbinding live show to the States and to such venues as the legendary Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles, San Francisco's Greek Theater and multiple nights at New York's Roseland Ballroom. The band will also be headlining both the V Festival in Toronto and Austin City Limits Festival.
