Cease and Detab
http://music.tinfoil.net/modules.php?name=News&file=article&sid=1616 reports: Tab site, OLGA (Online Guitar Archive) has once again been handed a cease and desist order for violating copyright by posting user created guitar tablature. They aren't copying and posting tab from tab books, they are posting tab that members of OLGA have transcribed by ear and posted.

Here is a small portion of the love letter sent "you needed, but did not obtain, permission from the copyright owners to make a tablature version of those songs and to post them on your site. Under the circumstances, both the transcriber of the compositions and you as the owner of the website are copyright infringers. We have been asked by the members of the NMPA and MPA to take all appropriate steps to remove unauthorized sheet music and tablature versions of the publishers' copyrighted works from the Internet." You can read the full love letter and the site owner's response at the full story link. And remember you have to pay to play like your guitar heroes. - Click Here for the Full Story
