Near Deadly Korn Beating
Blabbermouth reports: A melee at a metro Atlanta concert ends with a man fighting for his life - and now his family wants answers.

It happened [on Sunday, July 30] at the Hi-Fi Buys Amphitheater during a concert by the group KORN. Police say 30-year-old Andy Richardson was beaten by two other concert-goers.

Homicide investigators are looking into this beating. At the same time, Andy Richardson is in very critical condition and his mother says it doesn't look good. She's trying to figure out how a night of fun could end with her son near death.[see full story for more]- Click Here for the Full Story

Pink Floyd Reunion?
Gigwise reports: Pink Floyd are said to be planning a reunion gig to honour the late great Syd Barrett who died recently.

The band played together for the first time in 25 years at last year's Live 8 in London and now talk is of a special tribute gig for their former band member.

Dupri Shooting
MTV reports: Shots were fired in an Atlanta club Monday morning (July 31) at a party hosted by rapper/producer Jermaine Dupri. A gunman opened fire inside the crowded Atlanta Peach Ballroom after trying to steal another man's gold chain, according to DeKalb County Police Department spokesperson Herschel Grangent. Panic Channel on Lotsa Channels
PR reports: Capitol Records recording group The Panic Channel has unveiled a wide-ranging schedule of multimedia activities surrounding the upcoming release of their eagerly anticipated debut album. Dubbed "(ONe)," the collection - which features the first single, "Why Cry" - arrives in stores on August 15th.

The Panic Channel - whose ranks include guitarist Dave Navarro, drummer Stephen Perkins, and bassist Chris Chaney, along with singer/guitarist Steve Isaacs - will herald the release of "(ONe)" with appearances on a number of high-profile TV programs. The schedule kicks off on August 10th with a performance on NBC's The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, followed on August 21st with a visit to ABC's Jimmy Kimmel Live. Fat Mike Idiot, Son of an ---hole
thegauntlet.com reports: Underoath released a statement on Friday, July 28, stating they are dropping off the Vans Warped Tour to save their friendship. The Gauntlet has learned from several fans and people in the NoFX camp that prior to Underoath dropping off the tour, NoFX frontman, Fat Mike, made several comments directed at Underoath and the bands beliefs. Fat Mike was on stage and opened with "most bands on the warped tour this year really aren't that good, like Underoath, not that good. We don't care about our fans, we just want to offend as many people as we can." He later stated "if you are Christian or believe in God like Underoath, I would leave right now because I am trying to offend as many Christians as I can." Illegal Motley Pilot
TMZ reports: Tommy Lee must really hate traffic: The pilot of a helicopter that Lee had ferry him from his Hollywood Hills home to a concert in Irvine, Calif. was charged today by the Los Angeles City Attorney with landing an aircraft on a public road, and two other charges besides. 

On July 7, the Air Support Division of the Los Angeles Police Department responded to reports of a helicopter hovering above a residence in the Hollywood Hills. The officers tried to contact the helicopter pilot, 49-year-old David Keith Martz, but the helicopter landed on a public street and the pilot entered a residence. Tommy Lee was seen coming out with two other passengers and the aircraft departed to the southeast. 

LA City Attorney Rocky Delgadillo charged Martz with one count of reckless operation of an aircraft, one count of landing an aircraft on a public road and one count of landing an aircraft without a permit. Each charge carries a maximum penalty of six months in jail and/or a $1000 fine.[see full story for more]- Click Here for the Full Story

PR reports: Deadsy has officially been added to the 2006 Lollapalooza lineup, scheduled to perform Sunday, August 6. The set time and stage will remain unannounced as this will be part of the Mindfield experience. Mindfield, the interactive festival game first introduced by founder Perry Farrell in 2003, uses cell phones and text messaging to create a giant interactive game board, with festivalgoers being the game pieces. With over 10,000 attendees already registered, each person will receive a text message a few hours prior to set time, announcing Deadsy's performance. John Turner of Radio Reality Check reports: Kiss has been snubbed by the Rock 'N Roll Hall of Fame voting committee for nine years in a row now! Denying Kiss an induction into the Rock hall. Kiss has met every criteria set by the voting committee for induction. What happened to there motto, for the fans by the fans? The Kiss army will be shouting it out loud August 5th 2006 in Cleveland Ohio! A peaceful march will be taking place in front of the Rock Hall of Fame with thousands of kiss fans from everywhere! There will be flags flying from all over the world to represent Kiss fans globally. Kiss tribute bands will be playing there as well. Tribute bands include, Kissteria, MR. speed, Love Gun and the Black Diamond girls!!!! Raffles and face painting will take place as well. This will be Kisstory!!! Hurt Process Over?
Punkbands reports: The Hurt Process have released an announcement through MySpace saying that all tours have been cancelled for now and stating they're uncertain they'll ever play live again. Vocalist Ivan Ferreira had this to say: 

We have cancelled all shows and tours for now. The future of this band is uncertain.
