(Epic) Franz Ferdinand, who debuted at #1 yesterday in the UK, can now also claim the band's highest U.S. chart debut and biggest one week sales by landing at #8 with the debut of their latest album You Could Have It So Much Better. The critically hailed album has spawned the hit single, "Do You Want To."

Additionally, the first album from Fiona Apple in six years blasts off with an extraordinary start. The hotly anticipated Extraordinary Machine, released last week by Epic Records, has given Fiona the highest chart debut of her career by landing at #7.
