Drunk
Halen |
Metal Hammer reports: Eddie Van Halen was
interviewed on US radio, and the only thing that he makes clear is that
he is utterly trolleyed. This audio interview includes a story - drunkenly
related - about how sprinklers ruined his garage door, how many cars he
has, what wine he likes, and a whole lot of other slightly hard to understand
stuff.[see full story for a link to an mp3 of the interview]-

Danzig
Slams Ozzfest |
Blabbermouth reports: DANZIG mainman/namesake
Glenn Danzig recently spoke to MTV.com about the band's current "Blackest
of the Black" tour... "It's something I've been working on for a long time,
and we're finally getting to take it all over the place," Danzig said.
"But I don't want it to be like Ozzfest. It's for bands that get ignored
by radio and television but sell out venues that are either the same size
or bigger than venues that, say, bands that get played a lot on the radio
can't sell a ticket to save their lives. It's exactly like when DANZIG
and SLAYER came up. No one would play us, but we would go in and sell out
venues, to everyone's shock. The Ozzfest is a corporate buy-on, and this
is my answer to it.[see full story for more]- Click

RIAA
Vs Innocents? |
FMQB reports: According to a new article from
Wired, legal experts are saying that many of the file sharing lawsuits
filed by the RIAA are being waged against innocent victims. The RIAA has
sued more than 14,000 people since beginning its litigation campaign in
September 2003. So far, more than 3,300 parties have settled out of court,
which the RIAA says proves that the majority of those summoned are guilty.
However, attorneys representing some of these people say their clients
are being bullied into settling as the cheapest way to get out of trouble,
and that they're being harassed to pay thousands of dollars for claims
that they know nothing about.[see full story for more]-

Testament
Pull Tour |
Blabbermouth reports: San Francisco Bay Area
thrashers TESTAMENT have announced the cancellation of their appearance
at the Live 'N' Louder Rock Fest, set to take place October 12 at the Estádio
do Canindé in São Paulo, Brazil.
After pulling out of the October 15 concert
in Porto Alegre, Brazil, the band have now decided to call off their entire
Latin American/Mexican tour, which was to include stops in Brazil, Chile
and Mexico. The reason for cancelling the tour, according to the band,

Reunion? |
BW&BK reports: ATHEIST frontman Kelly
Shaefer has announced via the band's official forum that reunion dates
are possible next year. Says Shaefer: "It's very likely that we will play
a few select festivals next year with the original UP lineup (including
bassist Tony Choy, drummer Steve Flynn, guitarist Rand Burkey) but we need
the right situation in order to do it. We would love to hit the stage with
these tunes one last time and do it correctly, so hopefully we will find
