Brick Bath Tour Washout |
"Hey everybody we figured it was time to let you know what's going on...
Due to being stiffed by more than a few promoters and lack of support from our record label (not to mention the hurricanes and soaring gas prices), the band had no other options then to cancel the rest of our tour dates for the remainder of 2005. Th' Legendary Shack*Shakers |
Featuring tracks such as "Ichabod!," "No Such Thing," and "Somethin' in the Water," Pandelirium is a collection of twelve songs that draws from the rustic charm of cotton-field hollers, funeral marches and murder ballads and the unhinged energy of Texas polkas, southern blues, spaghetti western anthems and gritty, punky sound bombs. Intense Degree Download |
Earache became good friends with the band and arranged for them to record their debut LP in Birdsong Studios, Worcester in October 88. Studio owner Steve Bird deserves an honourable mention in the history of Grindcore for recording the B-side of Napalm Death's 'Scum' and all of the 'From Enslavement' album- most engineers were perplexed by the unlistenable noise that grindcore bands unleashed in the studio, but Steve was actually encouraging and even made the bands vaguely listenable, all with a zero budget. The resulting album 'War In My head' became the 9th Earache release (mosh 9) and was originally available on vinyl LP only but is now online at metaltracks to download in mp3 format. - Click Here for the Full Story

Pop Stars Come Together |
All of the net proceeds from "Come Together Now" will benefit victims of the recent Hurricane Katrina disaster that devastated our nation. Proceeds will be split between two charities; Habitat for Humanity, which seeks to eliminate homelessness from the world, and Angels Place, which provides homes for terminally ill children and their families.
Twenty-six artists donated their time and talent to the song including; Celine Dion, Joss Stone, Jesse McCartney, The Game, John Legend, Nick Carter, Gavin DeGraw, Aaron Carter, Patti LaBelle, Wyclef Jean, Chingy, Anthony Hamilton, JoJo, Kimberley Locke, Brian McKnight, AJ McLean, Mya, Natalie Cole, Stacie Orrico, Kelly Price, Lee Ryan, Angie Stone, Garu, Glenn Lewis, Tren'l, R.L. Huggar, and Ruben Studdard. Artist Nick Carter described his contribution, "I was honored to have been asked to participate in such a worthwhile endeavor, and hope that we are able to raise substantial funds for the victims. I think it is really cool that so many artists contributed and I was intrigued when I heard Sharon Stone had co-written the song."[see full story for the video]- Click Here for the Full Story
