NME reports: JIMMY EAT WORLD have pulled out of this summer's CARLING WEEKEND: READING AND LEEDS FESTIVALS.

Vines Will Return

NME reports: THE VINES drummer HAMISH ROSSER has assured fans that, despite the recent turbulence, the band will make a third album.

The Australian rockers' future was thrown into doubt when Craig Nicholls cracked up onstage at Sydney's Annandale Hotel last year and was subsequently diagnosed with Asperger's Syndrome.

Les Paul Honored

AP reports: Electric guitar pioneer Les Paul was one of 14 people inducted into the National Inventors Hall of Fame this year.

Xfm reports: Reports are claiming that Oasis frontman Liam Gallagher is to make his big screen acting debut alongside Robert Carlyle in a new gangster film entitled �The Apprentice'.

The £14 million movie will star starring 'Trainspotting' and 'Full Monty' actor Robert Carlyle and will tell the real-life story of convicted Glaswegian gun-runner Paul Ferris. Xfm reports: News from the "unorganized" recording sessions for Radiohead's new album have indicated the band may well have a new album out sometime in February or March next year.

A new report on Radiohead fansite www.greenplastic.com confirms early reports that claimed that the band were working on the follow up to 2003's album �Hail To The Thief'. Summer Lawns Release
