for the video of BORN TO BE WILD and admitted it wasn't difficult performing
with the Muppets diva - because she really was just someone's hand.

Manifesto Nix Tour, Lose Member |
Punkbands reports: Streetlight Manifesto has
had to cancel their remaining dates on their current tour. The band posted
the following on their website: Due to an urgent family crisis concerning
one of us, we've had to cancel the last 5 dates of this tour. [...] This
is the third medical emergency concerning family members on this tour alone
(two of which were ours) and we obviously place the lives of those we love
ahead of anything else.
In addition to this current misfortune,
we have to also say goodbye to one of the founding members of Streetlight
Manifesto, Dan Ross. Dan was on his last tour with us before he was to
jump head first into the working world[see full story for more]-

Save
CBGB's |
Punkbands reports: Additional stories have
surfaced regarding the situation surrounding the legendary club, CBGB's.
Since our original story, New York-based confectioner Chocolate Bar has
launched a line of CBGB-themed chocolate products, including a CBGBs Punk
Rock Box (a 16-piece truffle collection) and CBGB Retro Bars. The food
will debut in May. Chocolate Bar is also planning a launch party at the
famed club, located at 315 Bowery in New York's East Village, in May.
In addition, club owner Hilly Kristal has
launched the Save CBGB campaign and says that:
The current money situation and legal status
of the club, despite what Muzzy Rosenblatt says, is not in negotiation.
It is in the courts to be decided by a judge. I am not going to cast aspersions
on the representatives of the BRC, as they have on me. I only wish the
problem be solved so we can both "do our thing" If you want us here, the
BRC has to be persuaded that a gradual increase in rent is feasible.[see
