B.I.G. Murder Probe
antiMusic reports: The FBI has closed their investigation into the murder of rapper Notorious B.I.G., according to the Los Angeles Times. The FBI probe reportedly focused on a Los Angeles police officer and rap music mogul Marion "Suge" Knight as the primary suspects. B.I.G. was murdered on March 9, 1997 following an industry party at the Petersen Automotive Museum in Los Angeles.

Controversy around the murder abounds with accusations of an organized cover-up by B.I.G.'s mother, Voletta Wallace. Wallace is suing the city of Los Angeles for wrongful-death and claims that the Los Angeles Police Department has covered up police involvement in the murder by a reported rogue officer. That case goes to trial on April 12th and may have contributed to the FBI shutting down their investigation. [see full story for more]- Click Here for the Full Story

A hearing was held on Friday to determine if Jackson's financial records could be used as evidence in the trial. The prosecutors claim that Jackson is a "spendaholic" with "a billionaire spending habit for only a millionaire's spending budget". The prosecutors told Judge Rodney Melville that Jackson has debts of $300 million and that his liabilities could be as much as $400 million by the end of the year.
