50 Cent, the Game Truce
AP reports: Perhaps selling 1.1 million copies of his new album in four days has softened the heart of 50 Cent. Or maybe he has so many feuds going, he can afford to let one go. On Wednesday, 50 Cent and The Game publicly squashed a bitter feud that had erupted into gunfire last week after 50 kicked Game out of his G-Unit clique for disloyalty.

The two platinum-selling gangsta rappers didn't exactly kiss and make up. When they emerged before a media throng at Harlem's famed Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture, both looked as if they'd been shoved into apologies by a stern mother.

But they did shake hands, albeit at the end of the press conference, after speaking about contrition and the need for peace. [see full story for more]- Click Here for the Full Story

Britney 86ed
Ananova reports: Britney Spears was thrown out of two Beverly Hills restaurants because she refused to leave her dog outside.

The singer and husband Kevin Federline were asked to leave Euro-Asian eatery Crustacean, because her pet dog Bit Bit's presence would have broken health and safety regulations.

The couple then headed to the Trattoria Amici Restaurant, but left after a waiter explained dogs are not permitted in the establishment reports IMDb.com. [see full story for the thrilling conclusion]- Click Here for the Full Story

On the website JLODOWN.COM, PETA fumes, "J.Lo knows what animals who are killed for their skins endure-PETA has contacted her with letters and videos no less than a dozen times. KISS Reality TV
BW&BK reports: Cable's Oxygen network has announced that its new Mr. Romance reality-comedy series that will "search for the next Fabio" will premiere Monday. March 14 at 10PM ET/PT. Created by Gene Simmons of KISS fame, Mr. Romance will feature twelve beefy hunks competing for a $50,000 cash prize and a contract to appear on the covers of Harlequin romance books.

A six episode series that will culminate with a special two-hour finale, Mr. Romance won't be a typical Top Model-like elimination show. Instead, with none of its contestants eliminated until the broadcast of its live finale, Mr. Romance's first five episodes will feature the twelve men attending a "romance boot camp" and preparing to compete in the finale's The Swan-like "man-pageant."

Held in front of a live, all-female studio audience, the "man-pageant" will feature all twelve contestants being judged by a panel that will include Simmons, TV personality Tina Malave, and Fabio himself. [see full story for more]- Click Here for the Full Story

Classic Funeral Songs
BW&BK reports: ...a poll of 45,000 Europeans suggests that, rather than opt for the mesmeric undertones of a dirge, we now prefer to bid adieu with a soundtrack that is, it must be said, slightly less grave. The current favourite funeral song of Europeans is 'The Show Must Go On' by QUEEN. This is a travesty. The second most popular funeral accompaniment, a LED ZEPPELIN number, is not much better. Far too frequently, people choose 'Stairway To Heaven' (# 2 on the list) when Highway To Hell (AC/DC - # 3) would be far more appropriate. [see full story for more]- Click Here for the Full Story

Rush Trial
BW&BK reports: A trial date has been set for the lead guitarist of the internationally known rock group RUSH, who is facing felony charges for an altercation with Collier County (FL.) deputies at the Ritz-Carlton on New Year's Eve 2004. Alex Zivojinovich, who is accused of pushing a female deputy down a hotel stairwell and spitting his blood on a male officer, is scheduled to stand trial for assault charges on May 16.

"I think it's going to trial May 16," said his Naples (FL) defense attorney Jerry Berry as he was leaving the courthouse on Wednesday morning. But trial could be avoided if the state and defense reach a plea agreement in the meantime. A judge on Wednesday also approved of scheduling an April 27 "sounding hearing." At these hearings, a judge can accept a plea bargain. Berry and the prosecutor weren't talking about whether plea discussions are underway. Beyond The Flesh Set Release
Chipster PR reports: The new breed of metal has arrived. Rocketing out of New Jersey with a devastating sound and an impressive local fanbase, Beyond The Flesh have quickly gained a foothold in the heavy music scene of today. After their 2001 debut, Spawned From Flesh and Bone, the band became legendary in the Garden State, drawing curious metal fans from far and wide and leaving a trail of converted followers in their wake. With a sound that not only borrows from all that is and once was great in metal, while still standing well on their own eight feet, Beyond The Flesh have carved an upwards swathe through the metal scene.

The lineup of Justin Leary (vocals, guitar), Senen Solis (drums), Rick Flanegan (lead guitar) and Brian Gawaski (bass) recently signed a deal with Screaming Ferret Wreckords/Escapi Music. With a true metal label behind them in 2005, Beyond The Flesh are now prepared to release What the Mind Perceives, a brutal assault of original melodic death/thrash [on March 29, 2005].- Click Here for the Full Story

When Surfers Attack
Earshot Media reports: Over It's in-store performance at Ventura, CA's Salzer's Record Store last night brought out not only the band's hardcore fans but a rowdy gang of Ventura surfers who apparently have a beef with the fact that the popular pop-punk 4-piece titled their newly-released CD, Silverstrand, in honor of a local beach of the same name.

Earlier in the day, an in-store display promoting the band's appearance was vandalized and tagged with the initials of the local surf gang and the suspects returned later during the band's set to cause trouble.

After exchanging heated words mid-set, several of Over It's friends and fans helped to calm down and escort out the small but unruly group.

As they exited and attempted to drive off, local authorities arrvied on the scene and detained several of the suspects for further questioning.[see full story for more]- Click Here for the Full Story
