Vs Nelly |
AP reports: Ministers from 20 churches have
banded together to protest rap singer Nelly's performance at Arkansas State
University on March 12, saying they do not want the Grammy winner's negative
message in their town.
"When we started seeing some of the vile
and filthy lyrics ... we thought we should get involved," said the Rev.
Adrian Rodgers of the Fullness of Joy Church. "Jonesboro is a wonderful
city because of what does not come here." [see full story for more]-

has locked the funds, of which 100% of the profits go to the Dimebag Memorial
Foundation. PayPal has taken their standard percentage of the transactions,
despite not allowing the rest go to the memorial fund.-

Lance
Lisenby Benefit |
Suns of March reports: Suns of March will
be performing with well-known national recording artists McQueen Street
and Damon Johnson & The Welfare (formerly of Brother Cain) at a benefit
for singer/songwriter/guitarist Lance Lisenby on Friday, March 4.
After losing his left arm in a most unfortunate
car/train collision early New Years Day of this year, Lance Lisenby has
resolved to continue his career as a musician. He has made a living most
of his life as a full-time musician, performing through out the United
States in his Colorado based group, Leaving The Trees, as well as, other
projects such as The Rat Race. Though many might consider leaving the music
industry in a situation such as his, Lance has decided to press on and
continue to pursue his dreams and talents as a musician. In order to help
him do this, The Lance Lisenby Lend a Hand Fund was established. Hopefully,
enough proceeds will be raised through this fund to enable Lance to purchase
a special prosthetic arm which he can use to continue to play guitar, though
he is having to re-learn the instrument as a left handed player. [see full
