Ultimate Banjo & Sullivan
press release reports: Banjo & Sullivan will be releasing their Ultimate Collection on June 28! It's a tragic story--struggling musicians who finally experience success only in death, that which they could never achieve in life. Banjo & Sullivan disappeared amid a series of heinous homicides and were basically forgotten until now that is. Their story is being told in Rob Zombie's latest film entitled THE DEVIL'S REJECTS(which Lions Gate Films is releasing on July 22, 2005). Now Banjo & Sullivan are being rediscovered by a whole new generation due to the intense and exciting film. It's a story reminiscent of the success of O Brother, Where Art Thou?, except for the multiple homicide part. Such is the story of Banjo & Sullivan.

Spurred by "I'm At Home Getting Hammered (While She's Out Getting Nailed)" as heard on the soundtrack to The Devil's Rejects (released June 28), Banjo & Sullivan - The Ultimate Collection (Hip-O/UMe), also released June 28, revives their long-ignored recordings. Head Case
Guitar World reports: Heavy metal guitarist Brian "Head" Welch might have quit the super-successful rap/rock band Korn to find God, but Head's newfound spirituality isn't keeping him from doing crazy rock 'n roll things. Case in point: he's started up a new record label called Livin' It Records with actor/born-again-Christian Stephen Baldwin. In the August issue of Guitar World magazine which hits newsstands tomorrow, Head says he and Baldwin are planning for some pretty outrageous church outings. "I want it to be like a concert: people rocking out to good music, and skateboarders going off at the same time the music is. We'll have dirt bikes and extreme sports. Me and Baldwin are talking about having motorcycles jump over me while I'm doing a show." Holy God![see full story for more]- Click Here for the Full Story

Epileptic Records reports: In April 2004, just prior to the release of his 11th solo album, Is There Love In Space?, guitar virtuoso JOE SATRIANI, set out on his most ambitious worldwide tour yet. Hitting 25 countries, playing 105 shows to over 500,000 people and logging in over 150,000 miles along the way, Satriani wrapped up this worldwide trek in May 2005 by playing to over 20,000 people at three sold-out shows in India.

Satriani has been touring in support of his latest solo-effort, Is There Love In Space? for over 12 months. The always prolific guitarist was not merely resigned to racking up miles during the last year, he was also busy writing music; the original score for the new EA NASCAR game, set to hit stores this Fall. Live In Japan, featuring the three guitar hero's, will be released through Epic Records this Fall. After re-signing with Epic Records for a deal that will produce a new series of solo albums, Satriani is already set to enter the studio shortly to work on his 12th solo album, with plans for a Spring 2006 release. From Atlanta, Ga., the grimy underbelly of southern freak culture, comes a mind-boggling theatrical musical orgy the likes of which few could imagine. Courtesy of the brave visionaries at Radioactive Records we proudly present the impotent sea snakes, a futuristic Rock & Roll circus in the grand tradition of Bowie, The Sex Pistols, and Kiss. As Alternative Press aptly put it, the impotent sea snakes are "perhaps the most outrageous band the U.S. has ever produced."
