he said, "I hate it. And I'd better get some of the publishing (rights).

in April? |
Blabbermouth reports: For those who attended
the quasi-riot at Philadelphia's Wachovia Center in December 2002 due to

coming back and will actually perform this time.
"We owe Philly," Stinson told Ed Condran
of SouthPhillyReview.com. He wouldn't elaborate about the aforementioned
debacle. "That's all still in litigation." But he promised that GN'R would
be on the road this year after the release of "Chinese Democracy" in April.

Anselmo
Speaks |
siN's metal news reports: SUPERJOINT RITUAL
frontman Philip Anselmo has taken the time to write a message to the public
again regarding the tragic loss of Dimebag Darrell, as well as what PANTERA
was, and what it could have been: A month has gone by since we, his former
band mates, his current band mates, his friends and fans around the world,
have lost Dimebag. I cant necessarily speak for them, but for me, its
the first thing that comes to mind when I awake, if I sleep at all, still.
It is also the last thing I think about as I lay down to rest. God damn
it still hurts me. I want to be there for Vinnie Paul no matter how long
it takes. I want to be there for Rita if shell have me. I want to be there
for the Kat and the rest of the crew as well, people that have been a part
of my life for 17 ½ years. Once again, Im hoping my biggest hope;
that they realize that the bad stuff written about our bands and ourselves
was coerced nonsense made to sell magazines. Bare with me, please. I beg
you all. By the way, all of the level headed fans that write in and offer
support, that in itself is the best therapy Ive received yet. I have considered
retirement because of a broken heart, but also in my heart, I cannot let
my fans down. As the days go by I realize that Im at war with some things
inside of myself, that I dont mind sharing with you: I always, truly always,
no matter if it was my own dreams just coming to the surface, if we, just
the four of us, were to sit in a room together, wed have been laughing,
crying, and laughing again. The weight of the world would be lifted off
of our shoulder as we hugged each other. Play together again? I have a
suspicion that our fans would demand some type of reunion. My god I thought
of that so many times and because what our fans wanted, they usually got.
It may have taken a little longer, but think about how long it took the
original Black Sabbath to play together again!? Then in one night early
December, 2004, an event changed the entire year and our entire lives into
one of the cruelest sort. Some mentally disturbed individual crushed the
dream. He took one of the most talented, extroverted people ever to grace
this earth. Im crushed for the loss of my friend that I loved, for Vince
his brother, for Jerry his father, for Rita his life companion, for all
of his good friends, for every music fan that was inspired and loved his
playing; especially those who were lost or were injured that night we lost
Darrell. None of what I have said will ever bring him back, and it hurts
so bad. I add very humbly in hope that no one else out there ever has to
go through something like this; Keep your loved ones close. [see full story

Brown told 6 Music: "For me, right, he
split up the best band in the country at the time, the Roses, and he went
on to do what? Nothing.
"Nothing to write home about, so he must

Delays Duran Duran Tour Plans |
liveDaily reports: Duran Duran has postponed
a planned tour of Japan to allow drummer Roger Taylor to recover from a
foot injury he suffered in 2004.
"Taylor had broken the fifth Metatarsal
bone in his right 'bass drum' foot late last year, when he was in the United
States and had been ordered to rest for several weeks," said a statement
posted on the band's website. "Following doctor's orders, the drummer's
first show after the accident was on Thursday evening (1/13) at London's
Hammersmith Palais (this was an intimate show that was being taped for
broadcast on UK radio later this month). The following day, Taylor's foot
was severely swollen and painful and after a medical examination today,
Roger was told that unless he rested the foot for an additional period

Raven's
Heart Benefit |
antiMusic reports: Just a quick word of thanks
to all of those that came out and supported the Raven's Heart Foundation
benefit last Thursday in Beverly Hills. Although antiMusic only played
a very small role in this we want to say thank you to the fans that attended,
thank you to the bands that played, the other rockers that came down to
show their support, the publications that helped get the word out (Blabbermouth,
MTV, Metal-Sludge and any others I missed). The event was a success, the
music was great and money was raised for little baby Raven. A lot of heavy
rock musicians came down to jam and/or to show support including those
that were not on the bill. The guys from Anthrax (Charlie and Scott) came
down, Disturbed flew in from Chicago to attend and in an incredible show
of support Vinnie Paul even attended. We'll have a special post report
on the event on antiMusic soon. Raven's mother Misse said talks are underway
for more benefits in other parts of the country. We'll post that information
as comes in, but Misse has pledged to carry on with the foundation after
Raven's medical bills are taken care of, so that other children in similar
situations can find some help. A big hats off to the Robinsons and Happenin'
Harry for all the work they did to pull this off and huge thank you to
all that supported it. See the full story link for more information on
baby Raven, the foundation and you can still donate online even if you
were unable to attend the benefit. - Click

Darrell: The Guitar World Tribute |
press release reports: Anyone that reads Guitar
World knows Dimebag Darrell was family. He had been featured regularly
in Guitar World for more than a decade and appeared in our pages dozens
of times. Darrell also contributed a monthly GW column that ran on and
off for at least five years. He was more than just a guitarist we admired;
he was a part of the fabric of our magazine and someone we called "brother."
While GW mourns Dimebag, the magazine also
rejoices at the chance to pay tribute to him and his accomplishments. Guitar
World looks back on the life and times of Dimebag Darrell, the original
cowboy from hell, whose explosive style and live-wire personality forever
changed the face of heavy metal guitar. PLUS - Dimebag meets Eddie Van
Halen, a report from Dime's funeral and memorial services, and his last
Guitar World interview, which is also included as a part of the issue's
supplemental CD-ROM.[see full story for more]- Click
