Fuel
F-Bombs Bush Bash |
AP reports: You might say the Janet Jackson
moment of President Bush's inaugural festivities came Tuesday at a youth
concert with hundreds of preteen Hilary Duff fans in the audience.
No nudity was involved, but the Vince Neil-style
profanity probably didn't win rock band Fuel any fans at the Federal Communications
Commission, nor from the parents at the concert. Now the Pennsylvania band
is just hoping the concert, "America's Future Rocks Today," wasn't aired
live.
Borrowing a word from Motley Crue's Neil,
the lead singer of Fuel proclaimed, "Welcome to the greatest ----ing country
in the world." Brett Scallions followed with a quick apology of "excuse
my language." [see full story for more]- Click

Cowell
Vs Beyonce |
AP reports: One of music's harshest critics
doesn't think Beyonce is so bootylicious.
Simon Cowell, a judge on Fox television's
"American Idol," has some choice words about the 23-year-old singer.
"I find the whole Beyonce thing really
mystifying," Cowell says in Esquire magazine. "She's not sexy, she hasn't
got a great body and she's not a great singer." [see full story for Simon's

Metallica |
Blabbermouth reports: Several "longtime loyal"
fans of METALLICA have launched a petition to force a split between METALLICA
and producer Bob Rock on the grounds that his "contributions" to the group's
songwriting/recording process are "quite wrong and have been getting worse
as time goes on." An open letter to METALLICA from the petitioners reads
as follows:
"We, the longtime loyal fans and friends
of METALLICA and their music, would like to see a major change with the
upcoming album. I know it will be a hard thing to do, but we feel it is
time to sever your working relationship with Bob Rock. [see full story

Aversion reports: McLusky may have called
it a day as a band, but that sure can't stop it from putting out more albums.

Jack Egglestone will soldier on in another, still unnamed act, finishing
