Suge
Ordered Vibe Attack? |
MuchMusic reports: The plot of Novembers
Vibe Awards stabbing has thickened. Young Buck pleaded not guilty Friday
to assault with a deadly weapon. No surprise there. But Jimmy James Johnson,
the man Buck is accused of stabbing, has let a bomb drop. Johnson, who
witnesses say started the brawl by punching Dr. Dre, allegedly told police
that Suge Knight paid him $5,000 to pull the stunt. [see full story for

Attacks Simpson |
Contact Music reports: Former BUSTED heartthrob
CHARLIE SIMPSON was attacked onstage by a disgruntled fan of the former
boyband as he performed with new group FIGHTSTAR on Sunday (16JAN05).
The YEAR 3000 hitmakers devastated devoted
fans on Friday (14JAN05) by announcing the end of their chart run, so Simpson
can pursue a career with rockers Fightstar.
And one particular fan chose to express
their unhappiness by pelting Simpson with paint while he sang at the gig
in Dublin, Ireland. [see full story for more]- Click

Ozzy! |
Blabbermouth reports: Disillusioned BLACK
SABBATH fans have launched a petition asking Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler,
and Bill Ward to consider firing Ozzy on the grounds of his lack of commitment
to BLACK SABBATH over the last few years. They feel that Ozzy's lack of
enthusiasm has been holding back the possibility of a new BLACK SABBATH
album and that such an album would be more likely were the other members
of BLACK SABBATH to enlist a replacement.[see full story for more]-

Osbournes Sitcom |
Blabbermouth reports: After "The Osbournes"
and "Battle for Ozzfest", Sharon said she and Ozzy who helped usher in
an entire era of celebrity reality shows are finished with reality TV.
But they're not done with TV.
They even have a new project in the works,
an "unstructured" sitcom for Fox, possibly for next fall, Sharon said.
"There is no script, but there is a whole storyline to the show, but we
ad-lib our lines," she said, describing a technique used in such shows
as "Curb Your Enthusiasm" and the upcoming "Fat Actress".[see full story

Stratovarius
Reform |
Melodic Rock reports: Stratovarius - or the
original line-up at least - are back together and working on material for
a new studio album. This was not entirely unpredictable, as founder Timo
Tolkki was last seen being pursued by Sanctuary Records Europe for the
return of a very large advance (some reports quoted 1 million Euro's).
The label were not happy with the band's internal problems and were equally
unimpressed with the new line-up and therefore wanted a return on their
investment. So a return to the best known and best selling line-up, for
an album already paid for by the label was definitely the smartest choice.[see

Aphex
Twin LP Series |
Pitchfork reports: You can call him Richard
D. James. You can call him Aphex Twin. You can call him AFX, Brad Strider,
or Polygon Window. And now you can call him Analord, too. But don't call
him a plasticky pop doll: His latest anti-commercial (or is that... hyper-commercial?)
release continues his storied tradition of gleefully blurring the line
between groundbreaking genius and insufferable assholishness.
We're speaking, of course, of the launch
of the Analord series, which begins with Analord 10, a ludicrously expensive
two-song vinyl 12-inch, packaged with a limited-edition pocket binder to
hold future volumes. If it weren't already sold out from his Rephlex label's
website, it would set you back £39.99, or about $76-- which works
out to, like, six bucks per each of its 13 minutes. Of course, that price
ought to feel like a bargain once eBay hounds get the scent of it. The
other nine volumes will reportedly dribble out over the first half of this
year; Rephlex is offering a reserve list for those who missed out on this
one. [see full story for more]- Click

Glastonbury
Take 06 Off |
BBC reports: Michael Eavis is to rest the
Glastonbury Festival in 2006.
Mr Eavis told the BBC, during a meeting
to apply for a licence for this year's festival, that the event would be
taking a break.
The festival was last rested in 2001 over
safety fears. Overcrowding led to the festival being fined and the new
"super-fence" being built. [see full story for more]-

More Reality, Less Music |
Reuters reports: ....[new MTV reality shows]
"Trippin'," follows Cameron Diaz and her celebrity friends -- including
Drew Barrymore, Kid Rock and Jessica Alba -- as they travel to remote locations
to explore scenic, sometimes ecologically threatened locales.
Diaz hopes that viewers of the show, which
premieres at 10:30 p.m. March 28, take away an inspiring, pro-environment
message.
MTV also highlighted two other new reality
series: "The Nick Lachey Project" (working title), featuring singer Nick
Lachey, who also stars in the network's "Newlyweds," and a 10-episode series
featuring Blink-182's Travis Barker and his wife, Shanna Moakler. Both
shows are set to premiere in April. [see full story for more]-

Penny
Lane is Coming |
ArrowFM reports: Over 50,000 Beatles fans
come to Penny Lane every year in Liverpool despite the fact that there
is no statue or attraction on the street. The Liverpool City Council is
changing that by giving over part of the local Grove Mount playing fields
to the Penny Lane Development Trust, which has drawn up a $5.5 million
plan to create a Beatles visitor center. City Officials want to build a
restaurant, bar, a "Beatle" store and a recording studio. -

House will be taking over The Cat Club at the end of the month. The famous
venue owned by Stray Cats Slim Jim Phantom and host to the Sunday night

The hit Discovery Channel show "Monster
House" challenges a hand picked team of builders to undertake monster projects
and transformations in just five days. The Cat Club, which sits next to
the Whiskey A Go Go will be next in line and the show's host and project
leader Steve isn't letting the cat out of the bag on what "monster" they
plan to create.
