Contactmusic reports: Organisers of US President GEORGE W BUSH's inauguration are confused by reports KID ROCK has been ousted from the list of performers - because he was "never booked" in the first place. 

Kid Rock, real name ROBERT RITCHIE, was recently the target of outrage from several conservative groups when it was reported the star might be included in the president's festivities.

Eminem Vs Source
MTV reports: It seems that there is no resolution in sight in the ongoing verbal feud between Eminem and The Source. On Tuesday evening in Detroit, Em and Source co-owner David Mays got into an off-air verbal confrontation at radio station WDTJ-FM. 

Reports are still coming in, but according to sources close to the altercation, Mays was being interviewed at the station for an evening radio program. Some of Mays' words were directed toward the Motor City SoundScan king. 

Shortly thereafter, Eminem arrived at the station with approximately 10 men. While sources say that no violence took place, there was plenty of shouting and four-letter words being flung. [see full story for more]- Click Here for the Full Story

MTV reports: If you weren't hip enough (or old enough) to join Sub Pop Records' now-defunct Singles Club in 1988, now's your chance to score the entire run of rare 45s by the likes of Nirvana, the White Stripes, the Get Up Kids, Death Cab for Cutie, Sonic Youth, Modest Mouse, Soundgarden and more. MTV reports: One of the two original compositions on A Perfect Circle's most recent release, eMOTIVe, will be the featured song in the upcoming Keanu Reeves thriller flick "Constantine." Bob Marley Disentomb
E! Online reports: Bob Marley's widow plans to exhume the remains of the late reggae king and rebury them in his "spiritual resting place" of Ethiopia on what would have been his 60th birthday.

D'Angelo DUI
AP reports: R&B artist Michael Eugene Archer, better known as D'Angelo, was charged with drunken driving and drug possession after a traffic stop, police said. 

Police in suburban Richmond arrested the Grammy Award-winning singer early Sunday. A subsequent search turned up "what we believe to be cocaine and marijuana," said Chesterfield police Capt. Queen Dimebag Tribute
antiMUSIC reports: The Queen Musical 'We Will Rock You' may add a tribute to Pantera/Damageplan guitarist Dimebag Darrell Abbott during a key sequence in the show. Dimebag was shot by a deranged fans that stormed the stage during a Damageplan concert in Ohio last month (see story). 

Paul Crook is a familiar name to metalheads from his days in Anthrax and to rockers for his work with Meatloaf. Paul's latest gig is playing Brian May's guitar parts in the Las Vegas production of "We Will Rock You". 

antiMUSIC's Debbie Seagle interviewed Paul a few days after the tragic murder for a special feature on our sister site Rocknworld.com. While the main focus of the interview was on the musical, how Paul got the gig and Queen's influence, the conversation eventually turned to the senseless murder of Dimebag, who was a friend of Paul's.

INXS Charity Single
Herald Sun reports: INXS started work on a superstar charity single for tsunami disaster victims yesterday. 

The band met at a Sydney studio to record music for a version of the Pretenders hit, I'll Stand By You.

Veejay Lands CNN Gig
Washington Post reports: CNN Headline News is gutting its headline news format in prime time in favor of live one-hour shows starring two former veejays on MTV networks and Nancy Grace, that kind-of-scary, cliche-spewing former violent-crimes prosecutor. 

"Showbiz Today," with A.J. Hammer and Karyn Bryant, kicks off the new "Headline Prime" lineup on Feb. 21. Hammer has been a VH1 veejay and hosted Court TV's "Hollywood Heat" and Bryant hosted TBS's action-film-oriented "Movies for Guys Who Like Movies" and NBC's "For Love or Money" reunion special. Love Harassed
Blabbermouth reports: Richard Lee, a Seattle public access host who fancies himself a documentarian and claims Courtney Love killed Kurt Cobain...approached and harassed Love outside a Los Angeles courtroom Tuesday (Jan. 11), according to Celebrity Justice. 

Lee approached Courtney as she arrived with her lawyers, shouting her name, to which Love responded, "Did they just let you out of the mental hospital? Leave us alone." 

"Why have you never responded to the murder allegations, Courtney?" Lee shouted. On Tuesday, Lee's presence bothered Courtney so much that Sheriff's deputies detained and then arrested him for having an invalid press ID.[see full story for more]- Click Here for the Full Story

Blabbermouth reports: "End of the Century: The Story of the Ramones", the inside story of the seminal punk band, will air on PBS on April 26 as part of Independent Lens' April Music Month. 

Tracing the history of the band, from its unlikely origins through its star-crossed career, bitter demise, and the sad fates of Joey, Dee Dee and Johnny, "End of the Century" is described as "a vibrant, candid document of one of the most influential groups in the history of rock." Featuring interviews with all the band members as well as countless others, including Deborah Harry, the late Joe Strummer, Legs McNeil and Eddie Vedder, "End of the Century: The Story of the Ramones", directed by Jim Fields and Michael Gramaglia, will have its television debut on the PBS series "Independent Lens", hosted by Susan Sarandon. He gave second spot to Lindsay Lohan, calling her "over-hyped and under-dressed.� And Ashlee and Jessica Simpson prove that �bad taste is positively genetic!" in a tie for third. AP reports: Strawberry Fields is not forever, after all. 

The Liverpool children's home that inspired the Beatles' hit song is to close, officials said Wednesday.

Incubus Grants
press release reports: Grammy award nominated rock band Incubus today announced a number of donations today through their non-profit organization, the Make Yourself Foundation. At the top of the list, the band is donating $100,000 to the American Red Cross Tsunami Relief Fund. Founded in 2004 by the band, the Make Yourself foundation was established to donate funds to various charities which are listed on the Make Yourself Foundation website (www.makeyourselffoundation.org). In its first year, the Foundation raised an astounding $400, 000 through Incubus' music-related activities while the band toured around the world. 

In addition to the Tsunami relief effort The Make Yourself Foundation will be making donations to the following organizations. Garden State Rebound
press release reports: Epic/Sony Music Soundtrax's critically acclaimed Garden State-Music From The Motion Picture returns to the top of the charts today, jumping to #22 from #51 on the Billboard Top 200, and selling an impressive 44,138 units. The soundtrack also regained the #1 spot on the Soundtracks chart, reflecting its single largest sales week since release. 

Recently, Garden State was honored with a Grammy nomination for "Best Compilation Soundtrack Album for a Motion Picture, Television or Other Visual Media" as well as a "Best Soundtrack" nomination at the Broadcast Film Critics' Awards.
