Chingy
Vs Nelly & Lucacris |
MTV reports: On Thursday Chingy was filled
with more passion than probably anybody has heard the laid-back St. Louis
playboy speak with in a long time. He's upset that people are calling him
out, and he's not just talking about it, he's also rapping about it
"I'mma run it down like this, ya dig? That
record right there, that's some old material," Chingy said Thursday from
St. Louis. "I done that when this all started. I'm gonna be real about
it. I'm tired of these guys I'm talking about Ludacris and Nelly I'm
tired of these guys taking shots at me in all these interviews and songs
[with] subliminal shots . Business is business. I'm the one who sold 3
million records, and I'm still getting money back that [Disturbing Tha
Peace] had in their possession. Ludacris knows what I'm talking about."

to the relief effort.
World Vision chief Tim Costello said he
was overwhelmed by the scale of the response. "I thought anything over
$5 million would be wonderful," Mr Costello said.
"I know that Australians have taken this

Foo |
Xfm reports: Foo Fighters have revealed that
they will be marking the bands ten year anniversary with a new double
release. The band will split the album into two distinctive styles, rock
and acoustic.
However, while the band have released songs
in both styles before, the new songs will be pushing the genres to the
extreme. Grohl told the BBC, "The good thing about doing it is that you
split it up so that there's no middle ground. So the rock stuff is the
most rocking stuff we've ever worked on, ever and the acoustic stuff will
be the trippiest, most beautiful, sleepy music we've ever made, almost
like a soundtrack.
The album is set for release in the summer,
either in June or July, and the band are currently recording in a converted
warehouse in Los Angeles. [see full story for more]- Click

Commerford and drummer Brad Wilk have been working on the follow-up to
their 2002 debut since last year, and Morello said he couldn't be more
excited about the results. "It sounds awesome," he said. "It's a ridiculously
rocking record, and I think it far surpasses the first one, which I loved.
I thought the first record was great, but we've really gelled as a band
and, you know, having a year of touring under our belts, we've become and
kind of grown into ourselves as a band. It sounds awesome." [see full story

Dimebag
Killer Bypassed Security |
Blabbermouth reports: The Associated Press
is reporting that the nightclub where a gunman killed four people, including
former PANTERA guitarist "Dimebag" Darrell Abbott, last month will reopen,
the owner says.
Rick Cautela told The Columbus Dispatch
in Friday's editions that the Alrosa Villa would have stayed closed for
good if not for thousands of supportive messages from fans and musicians.
"I don't think it would have made any difference
if we'd have had 30 security guards," Cautela said. "I mean, would it have
been better if (Gale) had come in through the front door and been patted
down, or we'd used a wand on him and found his gun then? He was on a mission."
