New Foo
Xfm reports: Foo Fighters have revealed that they will be marking the bands ten year anniversary with a new double release. The band will split the album into two distinctive styles, rock and acoustic.

However, while the band have released songs in both styles before, the new songs will be pushing the genres to the extreme. Grohl told the BBC, "The good thing about doing it is that you split it up so that there's no middle ground. So the rock stuff is the most rocking stuff we've ever worked on, ever and the acoustic stuff will be the trippiest, most beautiful, sleepy music we've ever made, almost like a soundtrack.

The album is set for release in the summer, either in June or July, and the band are currently recording in a converted warehouse in Los Angeles. [see full story for more]- Click Here for the Full Story

Blabbermouth reports: The Associated Press is reporting that the nightclub where a gunman killed four people, including former PANTERA guitarist "Dimebag" Darrell Abbott, last month will reopen, the owner says.

Rick Cautela told The Columbus Dispatch in Friday's editions that the Alrosa Villa would have stayed closed for good if not for thousands of supportive messages from fans and musicians.

"I don't think it would have made any difference if we'd have had 30 security guards," Cautela said. "I mean, would it have been better if (Gale) had come in through the front door and been patted down, or we'd used a wand on him and found his gun then? He was on a mission."
