Studio Owner Murder |
AP reports: The owner of the studio where
hip-hop megastar Eminem recorded the multimillion-selling CD, "The Slim
Shady LP," was found shot to death Tuesday inside the facility, police
said.
Investigators had not determined a motive
in the slaying of Amjed A. (A.J.) Abdallah, said Detective Lt. Norman Raymond.
A business associate of Abdallah found
the 36-year-old native of Jordan on the floor of Studio 8, Raymond said.
He said police recovered three bullet casings from a .357-caliber revolver
and determined that Abdallah had been shot twice. [see full story for more]-

Bio Without Music? |
Blabbermouth reports: According to ContactMusic.com,
OUTKAST star Andre 3000's dreams of bringing Jimi Hendrix's life story
to the big screen have been dealt a bitter blow the rock great's estate
won't allow his music to be used in the film.
Andre, real name Andre Benjamin, fears
the Hendrix biopic will remain unmade because movie-makers will never gain
the rights to use the guitar great's songs. [see full story for more]-

Eminem
Vs Mag |
MTV reports: Eminem and The Source magazine
will finally get to settle their beef ... at least in court, that is.
On Monday, New York federal court judge
Gerald E. Lynch ruled that Slim Shady's copyright-infringement lawsuit
against the hip-hop publication would go to trial.
The trial is the latest development in
the ongoing war of words between Em and The Source owners Ray Benzino and
Dave Mays. The suit itself stems from the magazine's release of excerpts
of two of Eminem's early recordings where the rapper can be heard making
offensive comments about black women. [see full story for more]-
