Howie Day Arrested

MTV reports: Howie Day was arrested for rowdy behavior on Wednesday at Logan International Airport in Boston after allegedly mixing alcohol with a sleeping pill on a flight, according to The Associated Press. BW&BK reports: Boston's WHDH-TV is reporting that professional bodybuilder Craig Titus � who helped MÖTLEY CRÜE frontman Vince Neil lose 20 pounds as part of VH1's Remaking: VINCE NEIL special � and his wife, Kelly Ryan, were arrested Friday (December 23) in Massachusetts as fugitives in the slaying of a woman whose body was found last week in Ryan's burned-out luxury car abandoned off a remote desert highway. Gigwise reports: The Who have confirmed that they will definitely doing a World Tour in 2006, their first in nearly four years.

Congress Rocks?

Aversion reports: A bipartisan group of U.S. Congressmen have put their political differences aside in the name of getting their rock on.

The band, Second Amendment, features an all Capitol Hill lineup: singer/guitarist Collin Peterson (D-Minn.), guitarist Thaddeus McCotter, (R-Mich) keyboardist Jon Porter (R-Nev), bassist Dave Weldon (R-Fla.) and drummer Kenny Hulshof (R-Mo.). The act, which juggles covers of bands as diverse as The Beatles to Toby Keith, will head on a five-stop tour of U.S. military installations this week to entertain troops. Brides of Uncertainty

Blabbermouth reports: BRIDES OF DESTRUCTION guitarist Tracii Guns has posted the following message on the band's official web site: "Right now, the future of the BRIDES is not clear. We have not broken the band up, but we also will not be working or playing in 2006. The BRIDES is constantly a work in progress and I would feel alot better about the band if Nikki [Sixx] were to return, but I don't think that's going to happen anytime soon, so for now, it is what it is." Rare Tad

Blabbermouth reports: Greg Prato of Billboard.com is reporting that former members of acclaimed '90s rock band TAD are putting together a DVD documentary, as well as a CD of unreleased tunes recorded circa 1998, shortly before TAD's split. Singer/guitarist Tad Doyle says the DVD will feature "interviews with people that knew us and saw us play, interspersed with live video and some of the actual videos we did. There's various stuff from being on tour with SOUNDGARDEN, ALICE IN CHAINS [but] I don't think there's much of being on tour with NIRVANA. I don't thing we were carrying cameras at that point. Ace Solo CD

Blabbermouth reports: Original KISS guitarist Ace Frehley is currently working on a solo album for a tentative spring release, he revealed during a guest appearance last night (Dec. 23) on the "Merry KISSmass Special" with Eddie Trunk on New York's Q104.3 FM. Sony Spyware Continues

Audio Aggression reports: Contrary to Sony's recall of infected CDs, Sony's own stores continue to sell the infected CDs to unsuspecting consumers. From The Consumerist.com:

I just got back from the Sony Style store in the Westchester mall, (White Plains, NY) and I saw that they had many CDs in the shelves that had the XCP rootkits.
