MTV2's Dew Circuit Breakout battle-of-the-bands type competition began over a month ago with 6 bands as semi-finalists in contention to win the whole enchilada. After a series of challenges, including live performances, the winner was declared live on MTV2 on Saturday December 10th. HELLOGOODBYE was voted as the victor unanimously by a panel of celebrity and industry judges, including Steve Gottlieb, TVT Records (President/Founder) and Kevin Morrow, House of Blues (Head of Talent/Tours). In addition to the overwhelming stamp of approval by the panel, HELLOGOODBYE received 53% of the online vote out of the three finalists. For winning, the Southern-California based band will receive several prizes including $9,000 in gear, $10,000 cash, an opening spot on the MTV2 $2Bill Concert Series, and a guest appearance on an MTV2 show (TBD).
