siN's metal news reports: MOST PRECIOUS BLOOD
are in trouble again. The artwork for upcoming album "Merciless" has both
U.S. distributor RED and Roadrunner ready to shelve the album. "We had
no idea this would happen this time," swears Justin Brannan (guitarist/co-lyricist).
The "Merciless" cover features an authentic looking corpse in an apartment
with the mail stacking up. In fact, to ensure the album can be stocked,
it will now be released with a reversible cover - the new image will be
toned down, but fans will be able to flip over for the original picture
once they've purchased it. "It's real life it's someone our age that just
dies and no one cares enough to notice." Such is the MPB assessment of
life today. [see full story for more]- Click

Anthrax, Anthrax, Anthrax |
press release reports: Pioneering metal band
Anthrax, one of the genre's most innovative and respected groups, is back
with a vengeance. Commemorating its 20th anniversary by touring with its
original lineup for the first time in 13 years, Anthrax is exclusively

East and Midwest of the U.S.) with additional Judas Priest and Anthrax
headline dates to be added.
Those gems are also heard on the band's
most comprehensive "best of" collection ever issued, its first two-CD retrospective,

the DVD Anthrology: No Hit Wonders (1985-1991) The Videos (both on Island/UMe),
and on separate live CD and DVD packages Alive 2 (2005) (on Sanctuary Records)
which documents the group's momentous summer 2005 reunion tour. All four

Grimfest
Release |
Candlelight Records reports: Candlelight Records
confirms October 4 as the American release date for the new studio album
from Norway's Grimfist. Titled Ten Steps to Hell, it is the second studio
album from the rapidly growing extreme metal band.
Recorded at Subsonic Society Studios (Dismember,
Susperia) and mixed at Studio Fredman (In Flames, The Haunted), Ten Steps
to Hell is riff assault. Guitars and vocals both firmly presented in-your-face
style wrap around an intense rhythm that recalls what made the initial
thrash genre so energetic. And talk about drums! Let your ears bear witness
to the human machine (the album debutting new drummer Christian Svendsen).

Mailbag:
Stoned Aliens |
Reader Email reports: [The following was an
email sent to us by Wayne E. Manzo. We always suspected that Mick Jagger
was a tool but now we find he may be an alien! Come to think of it that
explains a lot about Keith!] I was in the Columbus Arena district on Aug
20? When I heard a band that sounded like the Stones. Impossible because
they were in Boston?
I'm a celebrity publisher and former NASA
scientist who has been abducted by the Klan-Aliens and they are keeping
me on the streets as their Borg-Sex slave so who knows?
From the streets of Columbus where I have
been trying since Nov 2004 to get out of here and to another state.
This state, Ohio, is 100% Klan-Alien and
if you are not assimilated they "Stone" you do death.-
