Pilotdrift
Debut |
press release reports: Texarkana, Texas, quintet
PILOTDRIFT will release its debut album, WATER SPHERE, on September 20
via Good Records Recordings. Pilotdrift has won over audiences while supporting
artists including The Polyphonic Spree, Eisley and Mike Doughty. Pilotdrift
is the first band signed to Good Records, the label owned by The Polyphonic
Spree's Tim DeLaughter and Julie Doyle, which has previously only released
music by DeLaughter's own projects.
WATER SPHERE's nine-song odyssey marks
a remarkably ambitious debut from the East Texas band. Already drawing
comparisons to Radiohead, Muse and Grandaddy, Pilotdrift's adventurous
compositions can swing from anthemic rock to sinister carnival romps to
elegant chamber music -- sometimes all within the same track, as with the
complex "Jekyll & Hyde Suite."[see full story for more]-

four critically acclaimed solo releases and having tracks on a dozen movie
soundtracks, O.C. has remained largely unnoticed by the masses. Armed with
Smoke & Mirrors and backed by one of the most espected independent
hip-hop labels, Hiero Imperium, "King of the Underground" O.C. is ready
