BW&BK reports: According to The Associated
Press, a lawyer for VAN HALEN says a breach-of-contract lawsuit against
the Baltimore Orioles will go forward. A federal judge last week denied
the Orioles' motion for summary judgment. Howard King, who represents Van
Halen, says a trial is "imminent." The band contends in the suit filed
in August 2004 that the Orioles wanted it perform the first-ever concert
inside Camden Yards and then backed out of the deal. [see full story for

AP reports: [follow up to yesterday's story]
Courtney Love has been ordered to appear in court later this month to face
an allegation that she violated her probation in an assault case by being
under the influence of a controlled substance.
Superior Court Judge Rand S. Rubin issued
a bench warrant for Love's arrest, but agreed to hold it pending the Aug.
19 hearing. During that hearing, a date will be set for another hearing
to decide whether Love, 41, violated probation.
Prosecutors said the alleged violation
