I wear cowboy boots, but about three or four shows ago, they started sliding

Eminem
Dropped By Ford |
contact music reports: EMINEM's newly-formed
business relationship with car manufacturing giant Ford has reportedly
been severed over his new song ASS LIKE THAT.
The Detroit News reports that after happily
allowing the Grammy-winning rapper to showcase the new Ford Fusion midsize
sedan in the song's music video, Ford executives became concerned over
the track's suggestive title and lyrics.
While bosses of the company had initially
hoped to win over younger hip-hop fans with the Eminem connection, officials
decided to sever ties with the star because of the song's vulgarity.

Al
Aronowitz RIP |
DiS reports: Highly respected writer Al Aronowitz,
responsible for inspiring Hunter S Thompson and a friend of Jack Kerouac,
has died aged 77.
Aronowitz died of cancer yesterday morning.
His 12-part series on 'beat' culture, written in 1959 for The New York
Post, enabled him to befriend poet Allen Ginsberg and novelist Kerouac,

that made his name. [see full story for more]- Click

Skip OH Too |
BW&BK reports: Joe Siegler's BLACK SABBATH
site (www.black-sabbath.com) has been updated with the following message:
"Oz's sickness continues to derail Black
Sabbath. I was just made aware that Black Sabbath will not be playing the
Columbus, OH Ozzfest gig. That makes three in a row now, so one has to
think, is this the last cancelled gig? I don't have any information about
that, but my gut feeling says there will be more. Check with your local

Rolling
Metallica |
BW&BK reports: METALLICA has posted the
following update on their official website:
After taking three weeks off (!?) we thought
it might be fun to play a few small intimate gigs (Kimo's, anyone??) so
we called up our close personal friends, THE ROLLING STONES, to see what
they were up to . . . turns out that they are doing a stadium tour of North
America!
Nah - seriously . . . last week we were
honored to receive an invitation from the Stones to share the stage with
them in our home town. After having the thrill of playing with some of
our personal heroes such as AC/DC, DEEP PURPLE, IRON MAIDEN and OZZY, how
could we say no to the quintessential rock band, who are in some way responsible
for all of this? [see full story for more]- Click
