The pop tart tells the German magazine Bunte she'd like to change her surname to match that of her new husband.

Rare Nirvana
NME reports: The long-awaited Nirvana
box set 'WITH THE LIGHTS OUT' will feature 68 previously unreleased recordings.
Released on November 22, the four-disc set will feature 81 tracks including 68 previously unreleased recordings - rehearsals, outtakes, Kurt's home demos, as well as a DVD which is confirmed to have unreleased band home movies, live footage, rehearsal footage and 20 full-length video performances. NME reports: QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE singer
JOSH HOMME has been spotted with ex-bandmate NICK OLIVERI.
Oliveri was sacked from the band in February, after Homme claimed that his close friend's behaviour had started to drive the pair apart, describing the bassist as "a tornado".

BBC reports: US Attorney General John
Ashcroft has unveiled proposals to crack down on film and music piracy
around the world.
A report commissioned by him calls for five new anti-piracy offices across the US, while officers should be placed in Asia and eastern Europe as well.

KISS Surgery
Blabbermouth reports: On Tuesday (Oct.
12), after suffering hip problems for a number of years, KISS guitarist/vocalist
Paul Stanley had hip-replacement surgery on his left hip, according to
a posting on the group's web site. There were no complications and he is
currently recovering. The recovery will involve rehab physical therapy
at home for six to eight weeks. - Click

Blabbermouth reports: Former FEAR FACTORY
guitarist Dino Cazares and ex-DIMMU BORGIR/CRADLE OF FILTH drummer Nick
Barker will be teaming up in an as-yet-unnamed new project. The duo, who
have been collaborating for the past few months in Dino's long-running
extreme metal band BRUJERIA, have not released any details of the new project
except to say that it will be "heavier and faster" than FEAR FACTORY. -

Blabbermouth reports: Handwritten lyrics
(by Nikki Sixx) for every song on MÖTLEY CRÜE's first album,
"Too Fast for Love", an original concert poster from their first every
show at The Starwood in Los Angeles (April, 1981), the master VHS 1981
promo video, a number of 7" promo singles (signed by all original band
members). These rare, authentic, one-of-a-kind items are some of the highlights
of the upcoming MÖTLEY CRÜE auction being hosted by Backstage
Auctions. The items have been offered by Barbara Coffman, widow of the
band's first manager/mentor, Allan Coffman, and are only part of the 125
lots offered that follow the band's earliest years, before they became

the beverage business. Allhiphop.com reports that the rapper has invested
in a health drink called "Vitamin Water". According to the report, 50 Cent

Jay-Z Dog Fight Controversy
MuchMusic reports: The Humane Society
of the United States has issued a statement condemning Jay-Z's "99 Problems"
video, which features a scene of fighting pit bulls. The organization says
that a "dramatic increase" in dog fighting has followed "the glorification
of fierce pit bulls and organized dog fighting by hip hop artists." -

Metallica Recording
BW&BK reports: In a recent interview
with Northeastern Pennsylvania's Timesleader.com (www.timesleader.com)
METALLICA's bassist Robert Trujillo revealed that the band have begun recording
while on their current tour in preparation for the group's next album,
which he said they hope to begin studio work on in late February or March
2005.

UCLA P2P Crackdown
Wired reports: UCLA has developed a new
process of identifying and disciplining copyright infringers on peer-to-peer
networks, providing schools with another tool to crack down on illegal
file sharing.
Jim Davis, the university's associate vice chancellor of information technology, testified last week about the UCLA Quarantine project before the House Subcommittee on Courts, the Internet and Intellectual Property. Herald Sun reports: [slow news day, so
thought this story might be fun]POLICE responding to a call of a convulsing
Elvis Presley impersonator soon found themselves in a high-speed chase
of another faux celebrity � a man dressed as one of the Blues Brothers.
Crystal Police Captain Dave Oyaas said the bizarre string of events began when officers were called to a veterans' hall yesterday to find a man dressed as Elvis Presley apparently in convulsions.
When the officers approached, Oyaas said the man suddenly jumped up and yelled, "Viva Las Vegas!" before singing show tunes.

Charley's Bjork?
Ananova reports: Bjork claims she turned
down the chance to star as one of Charlie's Angels.
The Icelandic star says she was offered an audition for the Hollywood role before the parts were given to actresses Drew Barrymore, Cameron Diaz and Lucy Liu.
But she says she turned it down because she wanted to concentrate on her music career.

Xfm reports: Following the success of
their chart-topping album 'American Idiot' and yesterday's announcement

approached to write some music for the upcoming new Harry Potter film,
and frontman Alex Kapranos has hinted that their may be roles for the band

Pearl Jam Hits
press release (epic) reports: Epic Records,
a division of Sony BMG Music Entertainment, proudly announces the release
of the first-ever Pearl Jam hits collection, rearviewmirror (greatest hits
1991- 2003). The two-disc package will contain an "Up Side," featuring
the band's biggest anthems, including "Once," "Spin The Black Circle,"
and "Do The Evolution." The "Down Side" will focus on their more introspective
side, with songs like "Black," "Nothingman," and "Wishlist."
rearviewmirror (greatest hits 1991-2003) serves as a great summary of Pearl Jam's career, which is still very much a work in progress. The collection is due in stores November 16.

Evanescence DVD/CD

23, 2004, Wind-up Records will release Evanescence's anywhere but home,
capturing one night of the magic as cameras entered The Zenith in Paris
to capture the phenomenon. The two-disc DVD/CD features Evanescence's recent
sold-out European tour and is offered in both 5.1 and two-track audio mixes.
In addition to the live concert DVD, which was directed by Hamish Hamilton
(U2, Peter Gabriel), anywhere but home also includes a CD of the concert
presented in a two-track mix, and the previously unreleased studio recording
of the composition "Missing." The DVD features the bands four music videos
("Bring Me to Life," "Going Under," My Immortal," and "Everybody's Fool,"),

Adele Collins has been diagnosed with what is called a Pseudotumor Cerebri. This is a condition caused by the body producing too much spinal fluid, which then creates extreme pressure on the brain, replicating the symptoms of having an actual brain tumor (extreme amounts of nausea and vomiting, dangerously elevated blood pressure, threat of damage to the eyes as a result of vomiting, chronic migraine headaches, etc.).
