Vince Neil Injured On Stage
By Girl
Blabbermouth reports: MÖTLEY CRÜE
frontman Vince Neil cut his solo set short at the Westbury Music Fair in
Westbury, New York Friday night (Oct. 1) after an audience member injured
Vince's wrist while rushing the stage. A first-hand fan account from a
BLABBERMOUTH.NET visitor follows:
"As soon as Vince did 'Home Sweet Home' a few songs into his set, girls began to rush the stage to sing with him arm in arm, hug him, etc. This seemed under control for the first few girls. The girls would get a few seconds with him and then get off the stage. It then started getting out of hand, with girls not leaving, and more and more of them going onstage, and security soon had a problem on their hands, exacerbated by the fact that this venue is 'in the round' with a rotating stage.
"Finally, on his seventh song, as a girl had just gotten on the stage and begun to grab at Vince, a security literally yanked her backwards and she grabbed onto Vince's left wrist to break her fall (although unknownst to her, the security guard was there to catch her). Vince immediately yanked his hand back in what seemed to be some pain and kept his left hand and arm immobile straight down his side for the rest of the song. I could tell something was wrong. Mid-song, he confirmed it for me when he walked over to his drummer while singing and gave him a hand signal (with mike in hand) to 'cut' after the song (the 'cut sign' across his throat). The song ended and he said something to the effect of 'goodnight and thank you very much,' and the lights came on immediately and the exits were opened within minutes. Bonham on Led Zep Reunion
Blabbermouth reports: UFO drummer Jason
Bonham recently spoke to Glam-Metal.com about his work with Phil Mogg and
co. and the possibility of a LED ZEPPELIN reunion with him on drums. Several
excerpts from the interview follow:
Glam-Metal.com: Me being a huge ZEPPELIN fan, I was wondering if you had any inside info on [the possibility of a LED ZEPPELIN reunion]?
Jason Bonham: "No, there's nothing. Robert [Plant] came to see UFO during the English tour. I mentioned to him that I hear all these rumors, and I said, 'What do you think, Robert? Tell me what's going on, I hear all this stuff.' He said, 'Don't believe any of them, nothing's happening.' To me, I respect whatever they decide to do. If they want to do it and want to ask me, I say great. If not, that's up to them. It's something that they really have to believe in. It would have to be something that would be fun for them. I mean, when you're that wealthy, financial gain doesn't mean anything. No matter how much money was dangled in front of them, they wouldn't do it for that. It would really have to be for them. For me, if they ever wanted to do it, I give them my blessing. They're legends." [see full story for more]- Click Here for the Full Story

Taking Back Warner
Punkbands.com reports: Since Sunday is
a boring day, we would like to pick up on a rumour that has been floating
on the net about a certain Sunday band. It looks as if Taking Back Sunday
is headed to Warner Brothers Records, but the Ink isn't dry just yet. If
the rumours about the signing is true - was that the main reason why Tony
Brummel, owner of Victory Records, took on a fight with Warner earlier
this month. If this is the case, the motivation behind the "outburst" would
make more sense. [see full story for more]- Click

Rammstein Eye Release
press release reports: Rammstein returns
with the November 16 U.S. release of its fourth studio album, Reise Reise.
The album's first domestic single, the bilingual "Amerika" will go into
rotation on MTV2's Headbangers Ball Oct. 3, while import single "Mein Teil"
has already shown up on the Resident Evil: Apocalypse soundtrack as well
as on Fuse's Uranium.
Recorded primarily in Spain (El Cortijo Studio, Malaga), Reise Reise (translated as Voyage, Voyage or Journey, Journey) is an album of firsts for Rammstein: the first time the group have worked on songs to which they weren't completely committed prior to entering the studio; the first time they've recorded a track with a stand-out English chorus (single/ video "Amerika") or as stripped-to-the-groove acoustic as "Los" ("Let's Go"), but most of all: the first time in a long time the recording vibe could genuinely be called relaxed. 'Fun' even.
Which is not to say that fans of the signature Rammstein sound defined on the previous Herzeleid (1995), Sehnsucht (1998) and Mutter (2001) won't find plenty of familiar touchstones. Produced by Jacob Hellner, who has been integral to the band's studio work since day one), the admittedly experimental Reise, Reise also features abundant raw power in the form of "Stein Um Stein," "Moskau" and first overseas single "Mein Teil," a No. 2 hit this summer from Germany to Spain.
RAMMSTEIN: Reise, Reise track listing: 01. Reise, Reise - 02. Mein Teil - 03. Dalai Lama - 04. Keine Lust - 05. Los - 06. Amerika - 07. Moskau - 08. Morgenstern - 09. Stein um Stein - 10. Ohne Dich - 11. Amour
